Guys I am sure this must have been answered before but I just wanted to know what unit classification a high elf lord on great eagle is classed as.

Is it monster or monstrous cavalry?

If it's the latter do the attacks all get assigned against the rider and the model gets taken off when the character dies...

It might just be how I'm reading the rule book but tonight I'm confused....

Monstrous Cavalry, meaning you get the highest of the two for wounds - thye mount of the rider
