Sisters of battle are going to be my next army, but there's a problem. They don't have a battle force, or a codex so I have no idea what to get and why. So what I want to know from you guy is:

What HQ should I get and why

What elites should I get and why

What troops should i get and why

What fast attack and heavy support should i get and why

What models should I get to adapt on this to make a good army.

Anything else you want to mention about SoB is welcome.

Please help me!

Thou shalt not refer to the Adeptus Soritas as "Bolter Biatches" nor shalt thou go anywhere near our sisters during the time of the "Red Rage," lest thou wishes to be the first human to enter orbit without the aid of a shuttle.

Unless you can somehow track down the rules, I'd more or less just wait.

We also have a nice tactics thread for them here.

For a HQ you're looking for one of the special characters more. I kind of like the idea of running a Canoness with a command squad, but it's not as good as the other options.

There seems to be a couple of ways to play them, similar builds though. Allies also open up some interesting choices.

what am I going to do about having no codex?

Trying ebay or something to see if you can track down the WDs it's spread across. Should be 380 and 381.

I guess if you really wanted you could google a way to acquire it, but it's against the rules to talk about that sort of thing anyway.

ok then. Any other tips as to what models to get?

Well the Exorcist is alright, though the model is half metal so unless you like the design it might be good to convert one or something. Whirlwind tends to be a good base. Also if you want to have Rhinos, no point to buy the kit and to get Immolators instead as they should be the same price or cheaper and come with the full Rhino kit plus extra parts allowing it to be an Immolator or a fancy looking SoB Rhino.

on the forum. Obviously

Mate, if I were you, I'd wait till they get remade.
As it is, its not really cost effective to get SoB, because

A) all the models are metal, and therefore ridiculously expensive, even by GW standards.

B) You have to order them online.

You could get them on ebay, but there's always that chance of getting a raw deal.

This. I love the Sisters, but actually buying them isn't really an option at the moment, with them being so ungodly expensive.

If you really want SoB though, I guess it wouldn't hurt to just buy a handful of models to use as allies.
It'll still be pricy, but it won't hurt your wallet as much as a full army.

Buy saint celestine 30 or so sisters with bolters, A handful of sisters with melta guns, order immolators for each squad from GW and then buy or convert some exorcists. You now own a 1000 point sisters army and have likely spent about that much in $$

Well that's not happening any time soon.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Never said it would be soon. Just said it would be wise to wait.
But yeah, chances are SoB will be updated about 5-10 years from now.
After 10 or so Marine updates, of course
And then after Tau.

according to that huge leak of information a few weeks back. It actually puts sisters in the fall/winter slot of 2013. After tau who (if that chart is correct) will be getting their "second wave" sometime around june 2013.
