If I wan't to get a transport for my Assault Squad without the jump packs they must be 5 only, or I can increase the number of the squad with more members of the same Assault Squad???

And if they're 5 with jump pack they can be on a Rhino???

They can't be in a rhino with jump packs as they are jump infantry and are not allowed in, if they give up their jump packs for the discount then they are infantry. You can take 5 or more and exchange their jump packs for a discount on a dedicated transport.

Yes, its always the same discount.

With the new rules, assault marines in Rhinos arn't the best though. It used to be that if the vehicle was stationary, you could assault out of it. But not any more.

That aside, you want to have as big a squads as possable. So 10 man if you take a Rhino, 6 man if you take a Razorback.

They can be in a Rhino if you want (With 5 members), but have to remove their jump packs. They then get the Rhino for free (In points cost), but have to buy upgrades.

May your dice roll eternal 6's

If you are going for a razorspam list you don't want much more than 5 man squads with a meltagun. You drop all of the points into tanks, laz-plaz razorbacks, baal preds and dakka preads. Take a librarian with sheild and then you're good to go.

The point is to just obliterate the enemy with firepower, since you can move 12" and fire 2 weapons you can stay out of assault range and blast the crap out of most things.

It's not the size of the blade, it's how you use it.

It's not the same as vanilla marines, they do not get their rhino for free. It is at a 35 point discount.

which is exactly the cost of a rhino IIRC. BA it works because you can get a razorback rediculously cheap and spam a lot of scoring units in transports with good anti tank/dakka. Vanilla marines it doesnt work well because all they can take is a rhino (according to my army builder but could be an error). and the unit inside is not scoring in most cases.

no, BA rhinos cost more than the discount you get for removing Jump Packs on an Assault Squad.

Drop Pods however are free when packs are removed.

A Blood Angels Rhino is 50 points, the Razorback is 55. The Space Marine are 35 and 40 points respectively. Do I really need to tell you you're wrong twice? Please reread the information, sir.

effectively - take BA Assault Marines in a razorback, add free lascannon turret and you have a 55 point transport.

Its what I am doing with my army.

To clarify an earlier point. You can still purchase a razorback at the 35 point discount if you 10 assault marines. If you combat squad them you can fit 5 of them in it. If you don't combat squad, you can take it, just never ride in it.

You can do this with all units, but they don't get the 35 point discount.

Generally, with assault squads 5-man=razorback, 10-man=jump pack.
