Looking to get back into 40K.

I know about the following and these are my impressions. I am looking for alternatives or something to convince me to try again.

1) Hobbytown in Kennesaw. Big store, with nice staff. The players seemed to be mostly kids and I would like an older gaming group. I could probably show up and get a game.

2) Gigabyte. The store was an absolute zoo when I was in it (Saturday afternoon). No one on staff talked to me and it looked like chaos; where getting a game would be extremely hard. It also looked like more people were assembling/painting models and/or hanging out than playing actual playing the games. My impression was that I would have to spend a lot of effort to get a game.

Hey there. Sorry to see you had a bad experience at the store, Saturday is our busiest day and tends to have full capacity. If you'd like to give it another try, come on by during the week when it's slightly quieter and I can run you demos.

What time were you in at? I'm surprised none of my guys would speak to you if you were at the counter, i definitely would have so I can only assume you were there between 2-5 as I was away at that time.

Our gaming group is extremely friendly and always willing to play a game if you ask somebody, pop onto the forums and introduce yourself and you should get some good feedback - www.gigabitescafe.com/forum

I sounds like you just caught an off time. Every time I have been to the store the people and staff were great.

Give them another try.

Saturdays at Giga-Bites can be daunting if it is your first time at the store. While people are very friendly, it can be a bit overwhelming if you do not know anybody. The forums are a great way to introduce yourself and set up a game prior to coming to the store. Not only will you know that you will have a game partner in advance, but he/she will be able to introduce you to the many other players present and welcome you to the community.
