Night Scythes have the rule for Deep Strike, so based on that do they HAVE to Deep Strike or are they allowed to be held in Reserves as they are Flyers?

Most if not all Flyers have the Deep Strike rule.

Why do you think Night Scythes (or any other flyer) would have to Deep Strike?

Terminators ALSO hgave the DS rule (well, most of them) yet they dont HAVE to DS. Nothing in the DS rule compels you to DS.

The short answer is no, unless the unit itself has a restriction indicating it 'must' deepstrike if placed in reserves (such as the monolith and drop pods), it does not have to deploy via deepstrike. (though it certainly can, if you wish to declare it as such and it has the Deepstrike rule).
