In my apartment building there is no access to internet, so having a GSM stick is my only option. I would like to know some way to let my ps3 share the connection somehow, at least for the game updates. I run on firmware.

Probably no way, as it uses a custom oc that won't work with a stick built for mac or windows.

Unfortunately you are going to have to not update and never play online until your internet situation changes.

plug the stick into a laptop
connect the laptop to your ps3 via ethernet cable
bridge the connection between the stick and the ps3

This should work, Im not sure about ps3 but I've done this with my xbox
