Well after salivating profusely over the new models in the new starter set, (link at the bottom of the post for those who haven't seen them) I've finally picked my jaw up off the floor and decided that I'm going to have to build my first Chaos force since my high school emo phase. Back in the day I had a small World Eaters/ Iron Warriors force, this time around I'm thinking Black Legion is the way to go.
So, dear Dakka, what I want to ask is thus: What was that one moment when you fell in love with an entire army, what has inspired you to drop everything and switch sides?

For me, it was reading Path of the Warrior by Gav Thorpe. I completely fell in love with Eldar.

Well my story is the exact opposite of yours. I play CSM as well and at first I had a black legion army. A few weeks later I read the book "Storm of Iron", which is about the Iron warriors. That basically made me want to completely redo my paint scheme to the Iron Warriors. It's not like it was a difficult task either, just a few dry-brushes and I was good to go.

For me it was one of my fellow gamers. He's a huge SW fan. His passion, knowledge of the fluff and how he described them to me had me fall in love with the wolfies. I decided on them before I even had a codex or knew what was in it.

I love new new Chaos figs coming in the new started box and will most definitely be going back to CSM. The Crimson Slaughter warband looks petty badass.

I got lured Into the hobby part of the universe through a combination of HH books (especially Legion and Deathwing) and the Space Marine and Killteam console games.

I speak for many when I say that this book got me into Chaos. Note the "suggested for mature readers" at the top left hand side.

For me it was the Luna wolfs, I like the idea of the best of the best now turned heretic. I also am really found of the black/gold paint scheme. I can't wait to see the new starter minis in the black and gold/silver.

When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss
