So I fairly recently started with a LW Gepanzerte Panzergrenadierkompanie, which I will be buffing up to 1750 points (currently at 1000), and I am finding that it would be very nice to also have an Allied army to fight against, especially since family members are getting into the game. So, I wrote up a 1750 American list, what changes should I make before I order it?

Compulsory Tank Company HQ - 1x CinC M4 or M4A1 Sherman, 1x 2iC M4 or M4A1 Sherman (130 pts)
- 76mm Upgrade 1 - 1x Replace M4 or M4A1 Sherman with M4A3E8 Easy Eight Sherman (55 pts)
- Jumbo Upgrade - 1x Replace M4 or M4A1 Sherman with M4A3E2 Jumbo Sherman (50 pts)
- Patton - 1x Patton (100 pts)

Compulsory Tank Platoon - 1x Command M4 or M4A1 Sherman, 3x M4 or M4A1 Sherman (255 pts)

Air Support - Limited P-47 Thunderbolt (150 pts)

1740 Points, 6 Platoons

I don't know about your US list but it seems you are a bit short on long range AT in your Gepanzerte Panzergrenadier list if you are going to play against a tank company, 1 Konigs Tiger and only 3 StuGs is a bit gamble. And in your combat platoons & HQ, 5 fausts and a panzerschreck team are good for close AT.

Against that US tank force I'd recommend dropping the half-tracks and the heavy platoon and taking some PaK40s instead.

Well, these lists aren't always going to be fighting against each other, though they will be common enemies. There is another FoW player locally who has a Ranger company, a German tank company and a British infantry company.

Unfortunately it would mean I would have to buy more models, but, oh well. I'm not quite sure why I bought those 251/9s anyway, they seem to be a little less useful than some options, though they're good for popping transports. Also, those 105s can shoot smoke, right? I don't have my GW book with me at present so I can't check the rules on em.
