Hi All
So after posting about my new gang me a friend (shredder) have finally kicked off our campaign. We're recording the campaign on Yakrumunda but I thought it would be nice to record a little bit here as well.
My final gang was as follows:
White Stags (Cawdor)
Gang Leader[
Red - Laspistol, Chain Sword
Heavy
Moose - Heavy Stubber, Las pistol
Ibex - Heavy - Bolt Gun, Las pistol
Gangers
Brocker - Auto gun
Taurca - Las gun
Sambar - Shotgun, Man stoppers
Fallow - Auto Pistol, hand Flamer
Roe - Lasgun
Juves
Pudu - laspistol
Muntjac -auto pistol
Chital - Laspistol
We rolled for territory and I got:
Workshop
Guilder contact
Tunnels
Water Still
Slag
Shredders (Collateral Damage: Orlock) Gang rating was slightly higher than mine (White Stags) but in the end it didn't matter as we rolled a Gang Fight Scenario anyway (probably what I would have chosen). Shredder got to set up first but I got to go first and with that we were off.
Well it was a good start to our campaign, we stumbled our way through the first game. We both were reluctant to leave cover as it turned out we had both developed an unwillingness to see our newly formed gangers die, even the Juves. I really hadn't expected the complete sense of trepidation that the game involved. I used the tunnels to dump Sambar, Ibex and Fallow a little closer but still well within my half in an attempt to guard the approach up my left flank. Moose and Roe set up in a building in an attempt to get an early over-watch position. Everyone else milled around the back. Most of Shredders gang were on my right with a flamer and lasgunner on the left.
Brocket and Taurca moved upto a small building in the centre of my half and popped shots at the ganger on my left eventually downing one of them. Ibex got of a couple of good shots downing a ganger and the gang leader, he took a lot of return fire but thanks to partial cover was able to stay put and keep the pressure on.
Moose failed to gun down a juve in the open using over-watch but thankfully due to his elevated position got a second chance and dished out two wounds
Red Moved up to support Brocket and Tarca in the centre and the juves scurried to the left flank. I had originally intended to move them up the flank and get into melee but the presence of the flamer and lack of any cover was off putting. I'd like to think if the game had gone longer i would have moved them because the las gunner on the left had been downed and the flamer was taking regular fire from Brocket and Taurca
The dome was quiet, too quiet, after five years scratching a living out of the sump the Red had decided the Stags would risk exposure and fight to retake their place in the world. The boys were wary, the dome was new ground they'd only survived the purges by keeping to their own small pocket of territories where their contacts could protect them, but they were also itching for a fight. Ibex lead the way a fierce grin on his face, it had been too long.
"movement" he yelled Roe from the near by building
All hell broke loose, las beams and hard rounds started to smack in to the brickwork surrounding brick work and the air was filled with ozone and cordite. As Red tried to work his way forwards he saw the fat barrel of Moose's heavy stubber stick out the window a let loose, ripping up the street. With in seconds it was other.
"what the hell was that?" yelled Pudu as slung out from behind the wall he'd been hiding behind
"Guess we just met our new neighbours" growled Ibex as he shook off the brick dust
"Well that wasn't at all neighbourly" spat Brocket
"They didn't look local to me" said Red as be bend down to inspect a dark patch on the floor "you see how they were hugging cover even before the gak started. There just like us ,their expanding"
The game ended with Collateral Damage failing their Bottle roll after four of their members had gone down. Luckily all the member of collateral lived to tell the tale unscathed. Having a slightly lower gang score the stags gained a small giant killer bonus to exp and income and also managed to steal a workshop. Ibex, Taurca, Fallow and Pudu all got advances we only worked out two that night though, Ibex got a toughness increase and Taurca got quickdraw. I like the look of agility but I'm interested in what people opinions are. I'm thinking Tech is a good way to go with the heavies, but not sure about the gangers or leader.
In the after battle only three of Shredder gangers were fit to gain income however they were were offered mesh armour and a ratskin map, the bought both and would you know it the map was recent and accurate (6) and only cost 10 credits.
I earned 190 income but after the boys celebration, paying for repairs and briding the locals there was only 65 left, meaning my stash was only 105. The Stags were offered a Scare gas grenade (31), a plasma grenade (42) and a medi kit (90). Due to some pretty high price rolling they were unable to afford all of them and it became a choice between the two grenades or the medi kit. They decided to take the medi kit for 90 creds reasoning that it would probably be useful in future.
Thanks for looking, I hope to have my models finished soon so i can get pics up and i'll try and keep the campaign updated but there is already a lot of paper work involved in this game and life keeps on getting in the way of hobby.

Hey Spank. Good stuff! Here's my several pence worth.
I've never had a medi pack before. The modified injury roll is good but I'm never sure how easy it would be to use. Once you've assigned someone as the 'field medic' then you'd more or less have to dedicate them to that role and have them hanging back somewhere in the middle of the board until they're needed. Then when someone is downed they have to dash forward without getting shot themselves before said individual bleeds out or recovers on their own, by which time the game may well be over… So not sure how effective that would be, but will be interested to see how you use it! Maybe if you get a ganger with Sprint or Leap they'd be a good candidate.
Reckon I'd have gone with the plasma grenades to give your leader a bit more bite. It might also be worth sacrificing some rare trade rolls to get some non-house weapons like a sword or a chainsword for your hand flamer guy.
Quickdraw is unfortunately one of the weaker skills, but the Agility set does have some good stuff in it (Sprint and Dodge being the stand outs). I guess at this stage it's entirely arbitrary which skills you give to your gangers. I tend to go for a nice characterful mix until I pick up a few BS/WS increases then it’s time to start specialising. Ferocity is also a good all-rounder: stuff like Nerves of Steel and True Grit are always useful no matter whether you’re a shooter or a close combat ganger. And as a rule I’ll always go with techno for my heavies until you have at least one Medic and Armourer (though with two workshops you don’t really need to worry about ammo rolls for a while)! With a leader like yours I’d personally go Ferocity (fingers crossed for Iron Will) or Combat.
Looking forward to hearing more!

Hey Plip
Thanks for looking, I was really tempted by the grenades for the reasons you stated but was worried about the limited range and scatter. If the gas grenade had been hallucinogen I would have gone for them.
I have to admit I did get a bit of buyers remorse with the med kit. My gang kind of splits into two the shooters (2 heavies, 2 las gunners, auto gunner) and the brawlers (3 juves, shotgun, flamer, leader) my original idea is to give the med kit to the shooters as I imagine my brawlers will either be hiding waiting to counter assault or in the thick of it. The medic in the shooters can keep my heavies shooting. Hopefully a clearer candidate will step forwards soon. I've got two more advances in the bag could be one of them.
Other weapons you say, might be an idea. Swords especially appeal
Advance wise i'm playing it by ear, I'm a little underwhelmed by the cawdor options, so like you say its a wait a see how they develop as a gang. I think I'm going to stick with agility for the normal hangers (unless one gets a ws or cc based increase), heavies will go tech or shooting and the leader all combat and ferocity I want him to become a cc monster.
So in short I'm making this up as I go. LOL

Hey Nick, what's your gangs name? if I know that, then I can send you an invite to the campaign.
My gang is nearly finished, just need to think about how to paint up my scummer. I'm using a 1989 genestealer hybrid with DE arms and a very old plastic ork plasma pistol!

So I finally rolled advances for fallow and pudu.
Fallow got a +1 BS and Pudu got +1 leadership making him top juve. I decided to swap fallows & taurca's equipment around, seemed to make sense given their advances, Taurca with quickdraw will benefit even more from having a brace of pistols and Fallow with his improved BS will benefit from the lasguns extra range.
My gangs all painted, so will post pics soon, just in time for our second game this Monday. Shredder has added a scum to his roster and I am the larger gang now, so will be interesting.
I'm tempted to take a ratskin scout but I only have 25 in my stash, what do folks think?

Hi all
We had our second game yesterday, my god was it bloody. The first game did not prepare me for it, we played a modified version of scavengers, not on purpose but due to a misunderstanding of the rules lol. Me basically played it so loot just had to be escorted to your table edge. I'll post a fuller report later but in the end we ran out of time, so Shredder offered to bottle out (as he had less gangers standing) he could have still one though so I said that I would not take the unclaimed loot as it seemed unfair.
We've still got to sort out most of the post game stuff but it ended with three of my fighters being out of action and four of shredders. The inability of either gang to fail their bottle test saw a huge number of downs.

The dome was dark with only intermittent light provided by the failing glow strips that lined the walls. The air was stale with a hint of decay and dust, it had been, the atom scrubbers having long since been cannibalised. It had been abandoned for some time but signs of past habitation were still obvious to those who knew what to look for. An empty ration pack, a used set of filter plugs and the distinct but faded markings of an impromptu promethium fire told him a story, a story with an unhappy ending if the shell casing that littered the floor were anything to go by. It all corroborated the rumours he’d heard, rumours were rife in the slums. Most proved to be just that rumours, stories of wild imaginations and drunkards that had been blown out of proportion with each telling, but this one, this one had the air of truth about it.
Bobo GrimePelt crouched in the dirt and studied a dark stain on the floor; he rubbed the dirt between his fingers as if inspecting its consistency and then gave it a cautious sniff. It smelt of iron and ammonia, some one had died here. He shakily got to his feet, but quickly fell to his knees again as his head span, stomach contracted and hot vomit shot from his mouth.
“Ah Gak, he’s puking all over himself. Boss why we following this drunken fool?” hissed Ibex “I got gak that needs doing back at camp”
“Yeah boss” said Taurca “don’t get me wrong I enjoy a jaunt through dilapidated, mutant infested tunnels with a hung-over, scum sucking mange bag for a guide as the next man but what we doing here? The Damage have got boys out looking for us”
“Frak them, we fraked them up before and we’ll do it again” growled Moose as he shifted the weight of his heavy stubber
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that” chimed in Brockett “rumour is those boys have got form, stone killers the lot of them plus I heard they brought in extra muscle”
“Frak I heard they got themselves a real gun-slinger” said Fallow
“Gak, I heard it’s Gene” whispered Roe
The whole group, with the exception of Red, stopped and looked at Roe.
“Keep moving you lot” snapped Red “BoBo is moving again and I don’t want to lose him”
“Boss did you hear that, mother fraking Gene” Blurted Brockett as the gang fell back into formation “they say bullets slide off the scummer”
“I’m willing to put that to test” growled Moose hefting his heavy stubber, causing a laugh from the group
“and that he’s fast, real fast”
“Reckon I could take him” spat Taurca
“Quiet! The lot of you! BoBo wait up” shouted Red as he turned to face the group “May I remind you we don’t know what’s out there” he said jerking his thumb in the direction they were headed. “Where’s your throne damned noise discipline?”
“First Brockett, yeah I heard I’m not deaf and you fools were making enough noise about it.”
“and Ibex the reason your following this “drunken fool” is because I said so, and the reason I say so is because I trust that “drunken fool”. He may be drunk or hung-over most the time but he’s tough as a grox and quicker than any man here even when pissed. When BoBo tells me something I listen, have you all forgotten he’s the reason we survived the purges?”
“No Boss” chorused the gang
“Now BoBo” smiled Red “came to warn us about Gene but you don’t hear my squawking on about it do you?”
“No Boss” chorused the gang again
“He’s muscle, now granted he’s muscle with talent but that’s all he is. He’ll go down like any other fraker with a round through ugly head” The Gang smiled
“Now what you should be interested in is the other thing Bobo came to tell me. He heard a rumour, 12 shifts ago a pdf squad went missing. Nothing interesting about that except that rumour has it they were transporting certain goods that our contact in the guild will pay a high price for. Bobo thinks that as it’s such a nice neighbourhood their cargo will still be there for the taking and I’m inclined to agree.”
“Boss Man!” urgently whispered Bobo “we not alone”
“Ok Boys” said Red to the assembled gangers “Pudu you and the other juves are going to act as runners, grab what you can and scarper. Don’t worry the rest of us will give you plenty of cover fire. Brockett, Sambar take that tunnel and see if you can ahead and take Muntjac with you. The rest of you spread out and take some cover. Be under no illusion boys, since the purges we’re barely surviving we need that geld this won’t be easy they know what to expect this time. Now go give them hell”
“WHITE STAGS” yelled the gang.
What followed was a opera of chaos and confusion, bullets and las filled the air as the two gangs thought for the scraps left by the pdf. When the dust had settled the moans of the injured could be heard across the battle field.
"That could have gone better" said Red.
So for our second game we rolled for the scenario and Collateral Damage got to choose. They chose scavengers with 6 loot counters. We had some impartial bystander’s setup terrain which roughly broke the table into four zones with a four story ruin almost in the centre. Think of a 5 on a dice and you won’t go far wrong. Scenery was mixed bag of infinity/warmill, GW and home made terrain. I knew Shredder was bringing a scummer (Gene who is a plasma pistol toting gunslinger) so I decided to bring a merc of my own and take a ratskin in the hope he may gain me extra territory. BoBo GrimePelt ends up with +2 Int and +1 wound as advances and I give him a maul and shotgun.
We setup the loot counters, they were distributed fairly evenly but there was a preference for the centre and what would turn out to be my right flank, probably as these were more heavily built up. Shredder got to pick sides and deploy first, he put Ben Richards (hvy w Flamer & lasgun) and Jack Slater (lasgun) on my left. Julius Benedict and Douglas Quaid were approximately in the centre on two level of a ruin. Everyone else was on my right, Dutch (hvy w hvy Stub) was in a tower at the back on the board, Gene (scum) and Gibson were on the top of a building poised to advance on a loot marker. Matrix and everyone else were on ground level ready to grab a near by loot counter and advance on the central building that housed the two more.
Looking at the board I realise there is next to no chance that I will be able to get three of the six loot markers. One is just too close to Shredders deployment zone and is surrounded by half of his gang. The one on roof near Gene and Gibson is quite central but in order to get up there I would have to cross the entire board and then advance over roofs back to the centre at a guess I’m looking at a 50 to 60 inch movement (not going to happen) the third although pretty much bang in the centre of the board and relatively easy to get to has no cover from shredders side, anyone I send after it will be in the open for at least one possibly two turns with the whole of collateral damage facing him.
With this in mind I decide my best option for success was to grab the three I could (using the juves) and then deny as many as the others as possible to Shredder, while hopefully reducing his gang to point that he has to start taking (and hopefully failing) bottle checks.
I used tunnels to deploy Sambar, Brockett and Muntjac next to central building in order to grab one loot marker and hopefully cover the second and prevent Shredder grabbing it.
Pudu and Red set up on my left to grab a lone marker on a roof top there. Moose and Roe set up on a building just left of my centre they are less than six inch away from red but Moose has perfect line of sight on Quaid and Benedict. If he can take them out then I only need to drop one more and damage will have to start taking bottle checks. Ibex and Fallow setup on a roof of a building opposite the Loot marker Gene and Gibson are going for. Again there placement is pure objective denial. Taurca, BoBo and Chital setup in the ground floor of a four story ruin just right of centre. The ruin has window over looking the last objective, it is sitting in the middle of an open court yard. If chital is fast and lucky enough he should be able to grab it and get to cover, it’s a gamble as I guess it would take at least three turns for Chital to grab it and get back at a run and possibly the same for a member of collateral damage to get him in his sights.
As mentioned in my previous post we played a modified version of Scavengers (by accident) where we had to get the loot to the table edge, where it could be dumped safely. This was due a mental episode on my part, where I got confused with a similar mission in 40k.
With out going into too much detail it all went to plan, except for one thing Shredder refused to fail a bottle test. I grabbed the three loot markers and by the end of turn 3 Shredder was taking bottle tests (and passing every one) for only one of my own (Fallow) out of action. Within two turn three more of gang are down and I’m sweating bullets as I’m forced to make my own bottle checks. The game went 7 turns and resulted in us running out of time. As mentioned Shredder kindly conceded defeat as he had only three/four standing gangers. In acknowledgement of this I said that I wouldn’t claim the unclaimed loot counters as he could have easily gone either way.
After the dust cleared we didn’t get time to do most of the post game action, so I will updated later. As it stands Brockett, Fallow and Sambar are all awaiting injury rolls on my side and four of collateral are in hospital (Gibson, Benedict, Quaid, Slater).
Red managed to gain 24 xp meaning he has two advances
Moose caused 5 wounds and survived giving him 30xp and two advances.
Taurca gets another advance as does Pudu.
Roe, Muntjac and Chital all pick up their first advances as well. Thanks to a ridiculous shot from chital needed a 6 and then a 5 (and got it) he goes up two levels, potentially challenging Pudu for the roll of top boy.
Bobo got a kill but being a merc doesn’t gain any xp for it. Hoping he’ll find me a new territory though.
This game was a complete surprise to both me and Shredder, after are first game we thought it would be a short affair, with relatively little blood shed. With 14 wounds and four pins the game was a lot bloodier than either of us was expecting, and I have to admit I resorted to bully tactics (shooting downed gangers) in attempt to get Shredder to voluntarily fail a bottle check.
I’m hoping games in the future will fall more into a happy middle area. My purchase of a medi kit had little affect this game, as Fallow went straight out of action, Ibex was too far away (but ended up ok in the end) and Brockett was the one with the kit. He tried to help Sambar but thank to a poor roll of 5 did nothing, shortly afterwards he went down himself. On reflection my setup could have been better and I should have kept Sambar and Brockett hidden until needed, their job was to defend the un-claimable central loot counter but they ended up taking large quantities of fire for little return.
All in all though excellent game, god I’m starting to love necromunda, just a pity we ran out of time.
Thanks
Spank

So start with here's a picture of my newest gang member, Bobo GrimePelt the Ratskin Scout
I met up with shredder to go through the post game stuff we in't have time for on Monday.
With most my boys in hospital, only Taurca and Roe were able to collect income but between them they managed to rustle up 100 creds, this combined with my 60 creds from loot gave me income of 160. After cost this came to 45 credits bringing my stash to 55.
Red got offered two rare items at market, a hotshot las gun pack and a weapon reload. This was a bugger as I really wanted the reload but for who? my main choices were Ibex's bolter or Mooses heavy stubber however to afford it for the stubber I would need to sell something. The only thing I had to sell was the med kit. After a lot debating I decide to bite the bulllet and sell the med kit, in game it has limited potential and improving an ammo roll of 6 to 5+ didn't seem as good as improving my stubber to a 3+.
Bobo did well and found us a new territory, a workshop.
Advances were as follow:
Red (leader) +1 bS and counter attack (wasn't sure what skill to take because of the improved BS, Red was originally meant to be a combat monster but BS 5 did make me think about taking shooting)
Moose (heavy w Hvy Stubber) +1 BS and Medic
Taurca (gng) +1 WS to go with his existing quick draw
Roe (gng) got cat fall
Pudu (juve) +1 WS
Muntjac (Juve) feint
Chital (juve) +1S and Feint
Injuries where as follows:
Sambar - Full Recovery
Fallow - Old Wound

After Collateral Damage got pounded by The White Stags, only Jerico Cane was able to work the territories and brought home 30 credits from a settlement, together with the small loot haul I'd managed to pick up and after profits were worked out I came away with 25 Credits to bring my total to 55. Out of this I bought some flak armour out of the three rare items I was offered. I would have liked the fuel rod but couldn't afford it.
There were plenty of injuries in the gang. Douglas Quaid picked up an old wound, Jack Slater was shell shocked, Julius Benedict picked up some impressive scars and Adam Gibson was wounded in his right arm.
Both John Matrix and Douglas Quaid advanced but I have yet to choose a skill table for them, I'll do that on Monday.
Jerico Cane gained the Marksman skill, Jack Slater learned to rapid fire, Adam Gibson increased his bs to 4 and Kalidor increased his weapon skill to 3 and learned to berserk charge.
Looking through my notes I realised I rolled on the injury chart for Jerico Cain and picked up a chest wound, but I didn't need to do this as he didn't go out of action.
There should be a little story to follow, but I'll post that later.

The world swam. The ringing in John Matix's ears slowly turned into screaming. He looked down, there was a lot of blood. He was amazed none of it was his. John continued to drag Quaids body to the relative safety of the gangs hidout.
He looked over at Jerico Cane who was trying to get Adam Gibson to stop screaming so he could tend to his wounded arm.
The imposing form of Dutch was next to arrive back. Heavy stubber in one arm and Jack Slater in the other.
“Is he...?” asked Matrix.
“No,” replied Dutch. “He'll be fine, just taken a heavy blow, he'll wake up soon. What about Quaid?”
“Well he's not dead,”
“Is everyone back?” asked Dutch.
Matrix looked around taking stock. There was Ben Richards and Kalidor tending to a large slash across Julius Benedicts neck. “Everyone's here,” he replied. “Hang on..where's Gene?”
“Probably ran off when we were dragging back our wounded,” Dutch growled.
“I'm offended!” said a voice from behind them. Gene sat down next to Matrix. “You paid me to fight and that's what I did. I'm still here and I can see why you need me. That was a complete mess, I'm amazed any of you are still alive.”
“Yeah, I paid you to turn the tide in our favour!” Matrix snarled angrily, squaring up to Gene. “A fat lot of good it did us! What about you? I saw you go down.”
“Huh, I gave as good as I got.” Gene shrugged dismissively. “Took a hit, but nothing I can't handle. How's the rest of your lads?”
“We're all alive.” Matrix growled.
Benedict walked over, soaked in his own blood, a large gash on his neck messily stitched together. “What the hell happened out there?” he snapped angrily at Matrix. “We just had our asses handed to us, again!”
Matrix slowly stood up and met the angry glare from Benedict. “Back down son,” he said in a low voice.
“I guess you'd know about backing down, done it plenty yourself.”
The blow came from nowhere as a fist slammed into Benedicts guts, sending crumpling to the floor. “I'll not have back talk from you boy,” Matrix said.
The tension evaporated as, challenge over, everyone began to take stock of their situation. John Matrix addressed the gang, “The White Stags have gotten the better of us for the last time, do you hear me?” The assembled gangers nodded. “The next time we see them, they're dead!” his voice rose to a shout and the gang responded. “This is our territory! I'll not have anyone take it from us! We know how strong they are, but we know how strong we are also. We are Collateral Damage and it's time we did some damage of our own! We'll heal ourselves up and be ready for more!”
The gang shouted their agreement and punched the air. Matrix walked off, leaving the gang to recover. “I just wish I was as confident as I sound,” he thought.

Nice fluff Shred, in all fairness though collateral damage gave as good as they got. Three of my guys ended up in hospital, Brocketts ears are still ringing and Fallow wound plays up when ever it's wet, which in the underhive it is all the time.
I don't know what Bobo Gimrepelt has been up to but it looks like he's of his kindred. I've got a game against Gorillawizzards newly formed Ratskin clan being a larger more experinced clan I should be confident but those Ratskins got some nasty tricks up their sleeves. Not looking forward to the treacherous terrain they cause, could kibosh the Stags plans for hive domination.
I'll post an update after Monday's games
thanks
