What does Entropic Strike do against infantry? I know it is brilliant against vehicles at stripping the armour of vehicles, but does it do anything against infantry? In the codex it says that if one or more unsaved wound is caused to a model, it loses its save for the rest of the game. Does this affect one wound model because if they suffer an unsaved wound, don't they just die anyway?

It won't effect a one wound model, you're right. Anyone with multiple wounds will lose their armour. Not hugely useful, but most people regard Entropic Strike as an anti vehicle thing anyway.

Well if you factor in the voidblade instead of looking at just scarabs, any roll to wound of a 6 will strip a multi wound model of it's armor right away (Barring FNP and invuls, I think). Or you put it on a c'tan, though they hardly need it anyway.

Against FNP, most people support Entropic Strike works just fine. Last time I checked on a similar issue (FNP vs Hexrifle) the poll was 2/3 against FNP. And Hexrifle doesn't even have the timing advantage of ES.

ES does not work if FNP is made.

This is because FNP turns the unsaved Wound into a saved wound, and if you try to remove the armor that requires an unsaved Wound

This is a hotly contested issue.

One should have the courtesy to at least acknowledge that at least two long threads have run their course in an attempt to discern the answer, and any opinions are just that.

I also didn't want to start up that discussion in here, but the point had to be brought up as possible negations to ES.

No. ES only removes armor saves. Invul saves are not the same thing.
