Hi guys,

My local gaming group is hosting a small 500pt tournament soon, just to keep you guys in the know I'm gonna reel a few rules.
- No 2+ armour saves
- Maximum of 2 wounds
- The following for organisation chat is allowed:
0-1 HQ
1-3 Troops
0-1 Elite
0-1 Fast Attack
0-1 Heavy Support
0-1 Swing Slot (can be used as a bonus slot for any one other type)

Ok this is the list I've come up with.

Troops:
5x Initiates w/ PC + PG
4x Neophytes
141pts

Fast Attack:
3x Land Speeder Typhoon
210pts
2xLand Speeder Typhoon
140pts

Total: 491

I'm tempted to remove the weapons and Neophytes from the crusader squad and add another typhoon.

What do you think?

Gets hot is unlikely, but if it happens it really badly hits you.

Do you need scoring units with the missions?

Clearly this list is awesome. You can not bring more firepower for 500 points. Surely?
Maybe some melta would be useful, that blood angels player brings a landraider.

Read the squadron rules carefully, I find people misplaying them. It always better to quote the rules back to people who complain.

I actually forgot to mention that your only allowed vehicles with a maximum armour of 34 (adding Front, Rear and Side Armour [once]). So landraiders and other tanks are gonna be a no, no. However I am worried about someone bringing in a cheap flyer as it'll rip me a new hole.

Yeah the overheating has been a problem for me as I seem to roll 1's extremely often.. I think I'm just gonna close my eyes and hope for the best.

Oh and I checked the rules on squadrons and its fine, so I can keep my LS as they are. Happy times.

If someone has brought flyers you will have 10 missiles and 5 heavy bolters attacking half their army first turn . After which the same fire power can attempt to down the flyer when it comes on.
I am sure you'll be fine, but more to the point you can not afford the points to bring anything more suitable for shooting down flyers.

Good point, I completely forgot that flyers have to start of in reserve. If indeed they choose to bring flyers they will leave a portion of their force open to a lot of missiles.
