Listen up you gitz.... Da time as come again for da Gitzkrieg to ride again. Followin da last gitzkrieg gettin dem selfz killed i gotz a new plan all sorted aoout. Wez gonna build a new one, with bigga dakka, fasta boyz and better tankz wot actually work. Da new boss gotz da lotz o' dem speedy boyz, but he wantz boyz what know how to fight wifout a bike in iz army. Da Mek boyz is all excited 'cos dey get to build 'em some battle wagonz wif deff rolla's..... So come on boyz lets get to da dakka!




Ok, that out of the way let's start properly. This is my second attempt at the Gitzkrieg, the first was more or less a ramble through the hobby for 6 months while i sort my life out (i'd not long come out of a rough spot shall we say) that ultimatly failed because i couldn't decide on what i was doing one week from the next, and ended up with some untold hordes in a box. Now i've got a plan, so here it is;

Skargrim Ruknar's Biker mob (1500-2k list)
-Basic stuff, warbikes, lots of 'em, few flyers and wazdakka to go alongside a normal warboss.

Golgrug Ironhide's 'Ard Boyz
-Army of normal dakka spec orks, flyers, 3 battlewagons with deff rolla's, some other stuff likely, mostly working on a 750 list at first.
-Main part of phase 1;


So lets begin with phase 1;

2 battlewagons, deffrolla's and all
1 warboss
39 boyz with shoota's
1 dakka jet.
3 objective markers

This list is one of a few for a doubles tournie in late oct/nov. I was originally going to play as necrons (search out my work on the ad-mec army if your interested, or keep and eye peeled in november when it will be coming off the back burner until i finish the 750 list). I went against my instinct to wait for the chaos codex because i've been wanting to build a complete ork army for a while, and i've had my eye on a warbiker gang for... along long time. Now in 6th with them being so utterly off the wall nuts (25pts for a 4+ cover auto, hammer of wrath and still an ork in combat? worth every point) it seemed the ideal time to get started.

I've ordered the list above, though i have no idea when it'll be dispatched since it's my first time using this company since my former supplier stopped shipping. It's got a world war/german theme to it, or as much as you can with orks. Because i'm a speed freek through and through, red paint jobs all round! Look forwards to the warbike list though.... i promise there be pirates...


Now for pictures, these are my early WIP's, just tinkerings and a PIP or two. The objective markers are not finished yet, but should give you a nice flavour, and my warboss is still being fiddled about with until i get him to a point where i'm happy. Oh, and a bonus Painboy biker...

Ok... time for another not quite update.

I'm still sick as a dog, and Total Wargamer has yet to respond to my e-mail asking about dispatch times on the ork army i've ordered from them. This pretty much stops all my core force updates for gitzkrieg, and my budget won't allow for the start on the pirate bikers simply because i can't spare the funds to buy the heads and refit my existing 10 bikers. However, all the parts have arrived for accessorising these boys, and i might have found a suitable fourth battlewagon;




Hopefully you guys will keep an eye out for when i can provide a real solid update. I really really want to get started on this but.. what can you do?


edit; the deffrolla is an old conversion, just for scale. the one for the b-wagon would be much larger.

Ok, so i've chased down my models supplier, turns our there'd been a communication issue between paypal and them but everythings now well on the way and i've had a postage refund. Look forwards to the official start of work when it arrives (monday if the gods are playing on my side)

In the meantime i've developed a plan for the third phase. I've picked up a few of the Microart commo grot heads, and i've been trying to decide how i can get them into the general theme of things. Some of you may remember my old grot tanks;



Well i've been considering doing more. Not only more... but Ragnarok style grot tanks! What do we think? it's a way off, but for the third part i want to develop some more unusual stuff, the original gitzkrieg had a wonderfully odd style i want to redevelop and build upon.

Update time; 2/3 of the army arrived today with the 2 battlewagons coming tomorrow. I've had a good couple of hours to build them, with one squad and the dakka drilled and almost ready to go.






Tomorrow/wednesday; battlewagons WIP. No idea how i'm going to make them fit with the soilder theme but hey, i'm sure i can come up with something.

My only complaint is the heads on the boyz looks HUGE! Like they are nob sized heads. Other than that, I think your off to a really good start
