Hey all, next week I may be purchasing a space wolves army, I have written this list and would love some feedback on it, need to know if its any good before I buy the models.

3x Wolf Guard - 3x Cyclone Missile Launchers - 3x Power Fists - 3x Terminator Armour - 3x Storm Shields - 1 for each grey hunter squad, goes at the front to take the brunt of the damage.

This is my first ever list I have written for space wolves and would really apreciate any feedback as to whether its a competitive list.

1)Why wolf tail tailsman when your priest has the runic weapon
2)You can have 1 CML for every 5 WG so in this list you cant have
3)why 3x mektabobbs when you have a PF
4)skip the flamer the will not shot is better to use 2 ML on near enemy than to lose your ability to split your shoots

A couple of things...

Your Rune Priest can either shoot the combi-plasma or use a psychic power, but not both on the same turn. Since you'll really want to be using his powers, you should give the combi-plasma to someone else.

You have too many CML's on your wolf guard. You actually can't have any at all unless you take two more WG models. Besides, they're really expensive. Why not give those three terminators combi-weapons instead?


Your long fangs are a little messed up. The pack leader doesn't get a heavy weapon. So if you want 10 missile launchers, then you need to take 12 long fangs (2 units of 6). Also...Don't give the long fang pack leader a weapon - just keep him with bolt pistol and chainsword. The reason is that you can't split fire if the pack leader shoots and since he's usually the first casualty that the LF's take, he probably won't ever get to shoot anyway.

I have corrected the errors in the list, so thank you for pointing them out, I now have 150 Points spare after fixing the errors.

What would you suggest for 150 Points?

Here it is edited and leaves me with 151 Points left over.

put one more rune priest with divinesion to go with the LF or go for some rhinos but you will have to cut some points or take two rune priest with power armor and one more GH of 5 with nothing

I don't like the lack of mobility, so I would suggest some Rhinos/DPs.
