My collection is primarily based on needs for FoW, thus a lot of dark greens, browns, etc. Just started painting Infinity models (Yu Jing Imp Starter and Comb Army Starter). I am beginning with a White base for the first time and would love some recs on color choices (assuming I am gonig to attempt to follow the colors on the box). I have easy access to Vallejo and really prefer that brand. Any help is much appreciated!!!

For Yu Jing, you're going to want a lot of brighter colors.

Think samurai rather than ninja. Bright reds, blues, oranges, etc.

Almost floral colors, to be honest.

I have a three tone blue+white scheme for my PanO.
I use black, red and white for my Yu-jing (I don't like yellow or orange schemes for some reason) and the sectorial JSA scheme fits this.
My Aleph use a tron scheme (basic) of black with the "light piping" or white/grey with it. I planned it out shortly after I saw Tron: Legacy (and when I got my aleph starter).

Whilst there are "official" schemes (in the concept art) for the armies, it's a lot more "loose" with the colours - you can paint them however you wish.

I paint each model individually and not as an army... so I use a lot of colors.

Which specific (names) colors do you use? I have found that some blues/greens/reds etc. look quite different on the model than in the bottle. Really appreciate all of the responses thus far.

Almost every paint looks different when dried, especially when you're painting on a non-white surface (such as black). As for the colors I use, I use AT THE MINIMUM 90 different colors from different brands. I don't think listing all those colors out will help you much.

Everyone - pics or, you know...

For my Nomads, I go with the bright grey-blue Space Wolf Grey on the armour, Warlock Purple on the secondary armour, and then grey or black for other stuff such as pants or coats.
Then most models get their own color, so I have a moderator with green hair, gun and skirt, one blue, and so on..

As for my Shasvastii and Acontecimento... I haven't even started

Thanks to everyone for your advice! Picked up a good smattering of colors today. Will let you know how it works out given this is the first While basecoat I have attempted. Going to attempt to emulate the box paint scheme to work on technique.
