In 2790 NASA came across the planet Gallantine, chosen for its easily terraformed atmosphere the planet was the first of several human colonies to be established by the United Countries of Earth. Gallantine was unique because of its isolated location in an uncharted sector and the original human colonists enjoyed relative independence for several decades. When the Earth was destroyed the colonies became neglected and forced to fend for themselves. Gallantine was no exception, the humans strove to prolong their existence basing their economy, military and technology on one major aspect - Survival.

Catharsis 3037 is a skirmish style wargame set in the year 3037 (bet you didn't guess that!) on the merged planets of Gallantine and Abel following the collision of the two planets, an event the local populace named the Catharsis. The human colonists of Gallantine and the native species of Abel are competing for resources and survival. The game is based on a d10 dice system.

We currently have some background, a WIP set of rules and a sculptor working on models. However we are in need of more background writers but more importantly we need play testers. We will be taking the game to kickstarter in December and hope to have all the rules ironed out by then. If you are interested in getting on board head over to the Catharsis 3037 website and register on the forum, then send me a PM and I'll arrange a set of the playtesting rules to be made available.

Interesting concept. I want to see more about the game. I'm particularly interested in the "Snakes" and "Apes".

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
