So here's a Warrior Priest I whipped up recently, Warrior Priests have been one of my favorite character types ever since I got into Warhammer.
While uploading pics of him to my photobucket, I figured I'd take a stroll down memory lane and look at pics of minis I painted years ago. It's funny how at the time I thought they looked awesome but now.. not so much.
So here's the one I just finished, I've been painting for about eleven years now:
And here's one I painted about four years ago:
I guess those are the results practice gets ya, comments, questions, and criticisms welcome!

Your present-day warrior priest is very well painted. I'm not familair with the sculpt, so I don't know if you've done any conversion work, but all of the color transitions are very smooth and well-executed. Your white is especially clean. Lots of people (myself included) tend to avoid the color because it is so laborious to make it look good. BTW, don't sell your older stuff short! That old priest is painted to a very respectable tabletop standard for quite a few folks on this board.

Agreed - the old one is certainly a bit rough around the edges, but it's nothing to scoff at. Your current work shows that you've progressed quite a bit in the last few years, though. The skin is especially impressive.

I love the models and I think you did a great job on both the old one and the new one. I'm with you too, the warrior priest archetype is a great one and also one of personal favorite. I just bought that model last week and hopefully mine will look as good as yours!
