So, until yesterday i'd not heard of this company (not leaving 40k at all though!)
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1513061270/reaper-miniatures-bones-an-evolution-of-gaming-min
wanted 30k, got 3.5M...
GW had better be careful, it seems their monopoly on wargaming is fast eroding (finally...)

Ive been getting Reaper Minis for quite awhile. I use the dwarves for my Fantasy characters (much better than GWs). My C'Tan for my Necrons is a Reaper Egyptian Aspect of the Hawk God.

I've known about Reaper for most of two decades.
GW won't use "kickstarter" style projects (it implies that their finances aren't adequate to their projections to stockholders) so I hope this does lead to a new industry leader or two.
GW have been running a one-horse race for a while, it's good to see them have competition again.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.
That is not dead which can eternal lie ...
... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

With the switch to Bones, Reaper will probably have the second largest plastic production capacity in the industry (ignoring collectible crap). It would be a real shame if they didn't capitalize on that and come out with some actual wargame lines.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins. |

Reaper makes great stuff but I have never heard of anyone playing their games.
And they steal designs even more shamelessly than GW.
Love them but they've a way to go before anyone in Nottinham gets a sleepless night.

Been using reaper models for a while now, got a few lasses as objective markers in 5th.
Never Had an issue with them and they always deliver fast.
