Hey guys, I'm thinking of picking up an airbrush in the near future, but I'm not sure I have the space to work with it. What kind of space and equipment do you need to set up a decent workstation, aside from the brush and compressor itself I mean?

Nothing you can't find around the house.

First of all, make sure you have good ventilation; spray by a window, preferably with a fan running.

I spray inside a cardboard box (moving box size) that I cut out the side and most of the top of, leaving a floor and three walls. You should also have an airbrush stand of some kind that will let you put your airbrush down without spilling paint.

Other than that; plastic gloves, paint, thinner, pipette, some paper, airbrush cleaner..

That is how much space I have... it's enough to spread some things out without feeling too crowded. Of course, it looks nowhere near as tidy now as it did when I took this four months ago, but that's besides the point.

Thanks guys, that's roughly the amount of space I have (once I clean the hobby table up) in my kitchen, and I have a window four feet away which I can open. The only thing I need to avoid is spraying paint on the walls but the box idea souns like it'd work.
