Pandering to populists; wealth is ultimately undeserving... everyone who works hard at a 9-5 but shows no real excellence or merit to go out, take a risk and foster their own entrepreneurialism is just as deserving of wealth as those fellows who got it so 'easily' by simply 'exploiting' or clambering over the backs of others.

That's not what he said though. He said rich people didn't get there on their own, which is true. He pointed out that hard work or intelligence alone is not what makes you successful, which is also true.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Mitt Romney has also said almost the exact same thing as well, which is the really amusing part of this little oddity.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

I can't imagine that

A.) Anyone who thinks anything he said in that video was inaccurate will be swayed by absolutely anything anyone could say in response to this thread; or that

B.) Those thoughts weren't already more then adequately expressed in July in this other thread.

See you guys in October for the "legitimate rape" controversy thread.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

The good thing about Nachos is that even thought they're covered in cheese and hence super high in fat, Melissia and other female Dakkaroos can eat as many as they want and not gain weight. As doctors tell me, women's bodies can detect all those.. calories rushing in, and just shut that whole thing down, with their magical ladyparts.

Presuming these are... legitimate nachos?

Yet another triumph for the OT board.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.
