So two friends and I decided to start a new army after we had finished our old 4000 points one. This one is 1500 points.

I Chose Tau, as I was guard last time, I thought playing a simlar, shooting based side would help me.
One of my friends chose tyranids, previously playing a very elite blood angels army.
The other chose Renegade IG/SM previously playing orks.

The nid player, in my opinion is a much better player and is going for quite a heavy infantry army with around 40 termagants and a few syanaps creatures.
The Chaos player is going for quite a heavy infantry army aswell, He has chosen Tzeentch for his god, giving him many annoying 5+ invunerables!, 60 conscripts and a leman russ demolisher is all I know of his army list.

Here is mine! As I do not have the codex and have barely any idea of how to play tau except, dont assault, just shoot! Forgive if I have a bad list or in correct information. If anyone could add up these points i would be eternally gratefull as i dont have the codex (I will get it though) Tell me if i can get anymore upgrades on my battlesuits or infantry! THANKS

Firstly, yes, get the codex. I cannot begin to explain the number of options you have at your disposal for battlesuits. You have to read it to get an understanding.

Secondly, don't run pulse carbines on your firewarriors. They're strictly worse than pulse rifles. Sure, it will pin but most of your opponents will be either fearless or have a high LD so you're wasting your time. Go for the pulse rifles so you can more flexibility in range or volume of firepower.

Ok,thanks. I know all the options for the battle suit that was not what I was asking it was if i had room for anymore. (I'm pretty sure the maximum of upgrades is 3) but if i take out one of his syanaps creatures, standard tyranid have LD 6, so it will be easy to pin them. Thanks!

Nids have generally more than one synapse creature, synape is generally on a T6 model and the other units are therefore fearless when being shot at. Pinning Nids is not really a viable tactic.

Also, because you can't assault move with firewarriors like you can with your battlesuits, your guys will be, at best, 18" from tiny nids. This is bad becuase they then can attempt to charge your firewarriors next turn should they pass their pinning check (or have fearless, the more likely situation). This will definitly result in dead firewarriors, something you really don't want to have.
