I'm attempting to plan the color scheme for my Tyranid army.
I've been using the Nid army painter to try to get an idea of what my scheme will look like when I'm finished. And I've been picking sticking with the hex values found on the Paint Range Compatibility Chart.

Here's what I have so far

Body - E7EFC6 (Nurgling Green)
Carapace - FF3108 (Troll Slayer Orange)
Carapace Highlights - FFE700 (Flash Gitz Yellow)
Claws - 000000 (Chaos Black)
Claw Highlights - FF7B00 (Orange Fire)
Eyes - 63B521 (Warboss Green)
Flesh Bits - 2D567C (Macragge Blue)
Hoofs - 4E5067 (The Fang)
Teeth - 4E5067 (The Fang)
Weapon - CEDEE7 (Fenrisian Grey)

I'm running into some problems with the Flesh Bits and Weapon, I'm not certain I like the blue along with the warm colors of the carapace/claws and then the weapon I just have no idea on. I was also thinking of CE0018 or 940008 for the flesh bits, but then I get to thinking I'd also like a bit of contrast on the fleshy bits...

Please help me decide!

My advice is - pick two colours as your primary colours, and don't deviate too much on things like muscle striations. If you really want a third colour, use it for weapons. I'm not a fan of simply arbitrarily putting a different colour in the muscle striations - simply leaving them as a darker version of the skin colour looks best.

Throwing your scheme into army painter, it tends to have 'clown syndrome' from the carapace. Basically, it's just too much of a contrast to the muted greens of the rest of the scheme. I'd go with starting with a really, really dark red, then feather it up to red, then very small darker orange highlights at the edges. This would work a lot better with the muted green.

Another small tip - do the hooves the same colour as the normal claws. It helps keep a sense of continuity to the whole scheme.

Basically, darken the carapace a bit so it's not so in your face compared to the skin, and pick one colour for the hooves and claws.

Loki thanks for your reply.

I do see what you mean about the clown syndrome, can't believe I didn't notice that before.

Carapace - E7EFC6
Carapace Highlights - 940008
Claws - 000000
Claw Highlights - CE0018
Flesh - 82C59C or maybe 005221
Hoofs - 000000
Teeth - FFFFFF (maybe a greenish tint with a glaze or something)

I've heard mention of army painter in the past, is it the 'nid army painter I linked in my first post or is there a better one I've missed in my searching?
