Went up against a nurgle marines/demons combo that just kicked my ass, was wondering if you guys had any tips on fighting against nurgle as crons. His army, as far as I could tell (don't know much about chaos armies) was a demon prince of nurgle, havoc squad (mark of nurgle) squad of plague marines in a land raider, 20-ish plague marines with typhus attached, and epidemus with a couple other demon units I did not recognize that sat near him.

The problem was that everything I threw at him he had some just absurd fnp/cover save ALL. THE. TIME. My squad of tesla carbine immortals did the most work, and that was thanks to the two lords in the squad convincing the demon prince/land raider plagues to punch themselves in the face, they got the only significant kills on my side that game. Other than that, the typhus blob has some invisibility and shrugged off round after round of doomsday, massed gauss (rapid fire after a certain point), and my tau ally's (we were running 2v1, 1000+1000 v 2000) crisis teams, fire warriors, devilfish, and sniper drones until it hit our front line and cut through it like so much wet tissue paper.

Any suggestions?

One of the best games in 6th with my Necrons was against an Epidemus led Nurgle army. Barely won and only because of Overwatch at that on the final turn.

Best advice from my experience? Wraiths and Scarabs are your friends. They can pin the Nurgle troop units in place really well now that there's no risk of additional wounds upon losing combat (Epidemus' tally also works on casualties, not wounds, so Scarabs work cheap miracles ^^). Also quite awesome at solving any tank problems such as Land Raiders (worst case, they'll hit on a 3+).

The Typhus & Friends unit? Harbringer of Despair attached to a minimum Deathmark squad in a Night Scythe. 2+ to wound, ap1 flamer template if you mark Typhus. Even with FNP, you can bring some major hurt on Plague Marines.

and that's where the magic is >.< of all those models you mentioned, all i have are 5 scarabs and a tek that could be a despair. Nevertheless, thanks for the help!

How does the 2+ to wound AP1 template work with Deathmarks and Cryptec of Despair?

Step 1) You declare a royal court cryptek of despair (with the Abyssal staff) to be leading a squad of Deathmarks, and place them in reserve.
Step 2) You mark typhus' squad of goons using the 'hunters from hyperspace' rule.
Step 3) After the Deathmark unit comes in from reserves, all members of it (including the Despair-tek) wound on a 2+ vs any squad which you've marked; so they open fire! (normally the Str 8 AP-1 template weapon wounds vs leadership, but the 'hunters from hyperspace' rule makes it wound vs 2+ instead)
Step 4) Profit. (and hopefully dead plague marines, in this case)
