Hey,

This model was completed awhile ago. I recently took him down from my shelf and took another look at him. I then thought about how much more I could do to him. Here is the original paint job.

So I present the Overhaul. Best when viewed from farther away.

Comments and feedback are very appreciated.

Great improvement. The warpaint's excellent, especially on the squig.

Thanks man. Orks really are one of the most fun things to paint.

Really nice. I must concur the squig is pretty awesome. I may just have to try and copy that.

Love painting orks as you can really do a lot with them. Nice converting BTW.

Diggin the Braveheart'esque warpaint, its a great touch to an otherwise great paintjob.

Big improvement from the original, I really like what you did with the leather. Although that ork is a bit too clean for me you did a great job. keep it up!

Thanks guys. It means a lot. I have a batch of boyz that I have to get up to spec. So you may see one or two fairly soon.

Excellent tabletop standard. You say he looks better from far away. While I'm sure that's probably true, I think he looks pretty great close-up too!

I'm quite fond of the blue warpaint and the weathered look of the weapon. The green of the skin is also a very nice, muted green. I prefer the muted green look to the bright, stark green some people put on their Orks. It looks less natural, in my opinion, but it does work for some armies. The one thing I think looks out of place is the green on the gums of the Squig. I think it breaks up his look too much and makes him look to busy as far as color goes. I would go with muted pink or red, personally. Something different from the skin-color but not so starkly different and distracting as the green. Otherwise, he looks great! Would love to see a whole army painted up like this.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I do agree about the green on the inset lip membrane on the squig and thank you for pointing that out.

That guy is squig tastic. I am actually planning on picking up a set of fantasy squigs to attatch to all my orks with attack squigs. I am going to steal your color scheme for some of them for sure now. I think he looks good even close up though I see how he is set up to look best far away.

Use the paint scheme by all means. Thanks for your reply.
