Howdy ya all, I'm mostly a 40k player but recently the want to paint fantasy has stoked my interest in WH FB so I went and started the army I thought was the coolest looking (and of course also happened to be one of the most underdog armies right now) Woods Elves! I seem to always love those armies that are just a little (or maybe alot) behind the times and now seems no different, however it will take me some time to finish this army so hey maybe they'll get a update before I'm done? (fingers crossed)

But back to the point of this whole thing, I was thinking of throwing in some centaur models just for the coolness of it, play them as some other random unit, and have a blast painting.

So if anyone knows any good centaur models for sell anywhere I'd be really thankful, so far I found some cool ones with Reaper Miniatures (they are about the right size right?) and I could alway use some from the Beastmen army, anymore ideas would be awesome!

When you poke around at Reaper's site you can find stuff like this:

That particular one ends up being about 2 inches tall - which I think is about right (other opinions may differ regarding how tall a fictional creature should be at a non-specific broad size ratio).

A lot of the other ones which are fairly good are smaller in size than those.

Otherworld Miniatures has some nice ones:

Smaller though - that is a 40 mm round base he is on.

Fenryl has some as well, however I have never seen them in person...so I can't speak to their size.

Foundry makes some as well, and while the torsos are about the right size for humans/elves - the horse part always seemed a bit small.

I made done counts-as Fiend of Slaanesh centaurish models for my Daemons, but no reason you couldn't make them more woodsy. My source kit was Dark Elf Cold One Knights. The head of the cold one mount is a separate piece, where you can attach a humanoid torso and upper body easily. It's reptilian instead of equine, but I think is a really elegant kitbash.

Beastmen centaurs? They look quite cool.

Imperial guard: Because quantity has a quality of it's own.

Sisters of Battle can be used in any game, with the exception of chess, Monopoly and of course, Warhammer 40,000.

After 8 editions, you might have thought that GW could get fantasy right.

@Sean_Obrien: yep those are the Reap models I've been looking at, pretty cool guys, not really a fan of the other models you recommended but will keep them in mind.

@bubber: wow those are guys I can get behind! I might pic a few up, thanks!

And thanks to you guys with conversions ideas, will undoubtedly help.
