I've got three characters going but my main ones my Sith Warrior and I'am really struggling to grind up to Level 20 (19 at the min). One of the bosses in the Balmorran resistence base that I have to kill for Varas keeps tearing me apart even though I'am the right level for the mission. I'am pretty much addicted at the min but even then I'am no MMO player and my mates still have to get it with the Free to Play in November; so theres no hope of a team-up. Tried inviting Imperial agents to help me do the quest but they're all turned down. :( Is it meant to be this hard or do I HAVE to have team-mates in order to take down these bosses without having a two to three level advantage?

What spec are you?

I found tank spec jug pretty good at killing all the story bosses.

I've been playing for about 3 weeks and I'm 32 and never had a problem leveling. If you do al the quests in the zone a few flashpoint runs you should level up fairly steadily. Watch for shouts for people doing Heroics, and don't try and do Heroics solo.

Prolly a Marauder. Soloing can be a bitch with them - I speak from experience.

No, you don't have to have people with you to progress in your character story, they just make it (a lot) easier. Weird that no-one's willing to team up with you (then again, I'm used to a rather helpful RP community); I'd suggest keep asking.

Isn't Balmorra meant to be level 20+ though, with Dromund Kaas being 10-19? What you could do is just continueing to do the normal planetary missions and retry your story quest after gaining one or two levels. Sometimes, a new ability gained can really make a difference. Also be sure to balance your equipment a little to not become too much of a glasscannon (like all Strength, little Endurance). Oh, and just to state the obvious, read over all your abilities, maybe there's a fancy button that would help a lot but you just don't use all that often. Myself, I really had to "learn" to kick in the Mantle of Pain before I jump into a fight.

You're in for a treat, though. The Sith Warrior storyline is cool; I just finally finished it about two weeks back. My own pace is in no way a good example, though, as I often switch around between various characters and just play the one I'm most in the mood for (I have 3 per side), not to mention that there are days I don't even play it at all.

At the minute I'am a juggernaught. I think its Nar Shadda which is for levels 20-25. Balmorra missions have been in the 15-20 range. I've completed virtually all of the Single Player missions on Korriban, Dromund Kaas and Balmorra. Most of the Balmorra missions weren't that bad. But this one level 19 guy just strips away my health so quickly. Plus its annoying that I can't bring other Sith Warriors to the Story Mission since they're the most abundant in that zone. I mean I'am on an RP server but its still rare to find people outside those mission areas ready to go in; or even at the factory in general.

BTW, where do I buy Sith Warrior armours from. I still have the same purple robes I've had since Dromund Kaas and although I'am slowly being rewarded all the warrior armour minus the chestpiece I still rarely get any armour. Most of the heavy armour vendors only sell bad versions of the soldier armour.

Yeah the Sith Warrior campaign gets really good when you basiclly become Darth Maul. I don't get why the Mission Vao clone is so okay about following a Dark Lord of the Sith; but I like the whole weird rapport they have with eachother. I also gave her the red skin with black tatooes to make her look like Darth Talon from Legacy.

You can upgrade your gear by buying armor mods and stuff from commendation venders.

Ohh, my bad, I guess I got the level ranges mixed up. Weird that you lose health so quickly in that one fight as a Juggernaut tho! The one in my group is a beast at tanking - then again, I'm not sure when exactly she picked those abilities up...

Actually, I think you can! You have to enable this in the options, though. Something about "allow same class blah blah".

It gets better as you level up. Doing Flashpoints helps, otherwise keep an eye out for orange armour on the marketplace! Personally, I'm really not fond of the whole MMO "get new armour, discard old piece" schpiel and prefer keeping a consistent look wherever possible. Orange armour helps as you can upgrade it, plus there's some really cool designs to be found. In fact, I think most of the endgame armour looks pretty ridiculous; the best stuff is in the 20-40 range.

lol, almost everybody does

I kept her in the natural blue and the only thing she wears is a slave girl costume. Waaay too bitchy for my Sith character to suffer her presence. I think Jaesa still has the controller for Vette's shock collar, too. She just likes to play so much.

Yeah, it is in the 'Social' Options I believe.

It could also be your spec that is making it a bit rougher to level. Which line are you putting points in? Are you spread out or focused? It can make a huge difference in the speed at which you level. As healing spec Sith Sorc I could keep a party moving like no tomorrow but it was far, far slower questing to gain levels.
