Hello all.

Hoping to pick your collective brains about selling some old minis.

I have a big pile of Chaos stuff I want to sell. Some of it is plastic, some metal, most converted and all painted (fairly well IMO). If no-one on Dakka bites in the next few weeks then I'll probably stick the lot on eBay. I know that it should sell for more if it's stripped, but I'd quite like it if I could sell it all in one lot. Question is, how should I divide the stuff to make the most money? Is there more value in selling one fairly coherently painted/converted force than splitting it up and stripping the metal stuff?

At the moment I'm thinking the options are:

a) Everything goes in one lot. This way I get rid of it all and don't have to mess around with too many separate packages.
b) By squad. Metal stuff gets stripped, plastic stuff as is. Might mean I get left with some stuff that won't sell.

I'd appreciate some advice please!

Cheers.

Sorry, I think I wrote too much.

Most of the time, you will make more money selling it split up into squads. The problem is only if you have a quantity of useless items that you will never get rid of. (Chaos Spawn). Then you have to include them in another lot.

Oh and paint doesn't add value, but it generally isn't worth it to strip it pre-sale unless the paint is REALLLY bad.

It's also slang in some places for stealing - along the lines of "blagging" or "swiping".

Gotta love the language. Lots of words for the same thing.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

This will be the main plank of my defence if I I end up before the beak for shoplifting.
