So with the changes to power weapons in 6th, what does everyone equip their sergeants with?

I still go with the loadout I went with last edition: the good old powerfist and infernus pistol.

I try to keep my sergeants cheap. They're far more likely to be picked out due to wound allocation. Usually just a PW.

PF or Axe, most often. Some people are arguing for use of SS but I just don't see it being worth it. it'd be good...but a likely waste of points.

Pf is how i run mine.
ss seems nice but you fail 1 save and then him and the ss is gone.
melta bombs maybe but against a dread it isn't very useful.

Haven't used the inf pistol since its kind of pricey for such a short range but i have seen them used to great success.

Yeah, although I mostly reserve infernuses for if I use SG and send them in via DS or with Dante via DS.

In that case totally worth it. that extra shot can make the difference.

oh yes. I can murder so much with that, and it's a good 230 points for the SG. I mean, I like the Honour Guard idea too where you get 4 melta, but this way you can get a good amount of firepower, and still have 2+ armour and all power weapons.

and again, Dante. You have Dante in there, with a priest, you can do evil things lol. I attack somebody, stay in combat. If they challenge me, I use my priest, and then Hit and Run.
