I have been working on a modular board consisting of twelve 1' x 2' panels. The panels are done and I am now working on a 23 piece modular hill set. I did not want to connect the hills to the boards so I have more options when setting up.

I am not finished with all the hills, some still need a dry brush and a bit of flock.

I added 1/16" thick rubber feet on the corners to keep the board from moving and also to provide a gap so the flock will not get crushed when the boards are stacked.

Saw the board on the flickr tag.

Very nicely done. Good job with the setup.

Adam's Motto: Paint, Create, Play, but above all, have fun. -and for something silly below-

"We are the Ultramodrines, And We Shall Fear No Trolls. bear this USR with pride".

Also, how does one apply to be a member of the Ultramodrines? Are harsh trials involved, ones that would test my faith as a wargamer and resolve as a geek?

You must recite every rule of Dakka Dakka. BACKWARDS.

Not too shabby. I like it.

Good work

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Board looks good, but I don't see the point in so many subdivisions when there's nothing attached to any of them. With no permanent features, it's the same flat board no matter how it's arranged. Is it merely for compactness when storing it or do you plan permanent features in the future?

Also, Ruff is right - if you plan to keep posting images in Dakka threads, it's best to host them in the gallery. You get more embedding options, the (default, but it can be turned off) option of opening them up to ratings from other users, and there are never any bandwidth limit/host downtime issues to contend with, so they'll stay visible wherever you post them.

The primary reason for the subdivisions is to keep the board compact when not in use. I might try 2’ x 2’ sections in the future. I am also planning so sell the boards on EBay. I can easily purchase boxes to ship twelve 1’ x 2’ boards with hills and accessories. Larger boxes that can hold 2’x2’ boards are harder to come by.

That could be expensive for shipping, but I wish you the best with the endeavor.. As long as they stay flat, you would be around 35-50 depending on the service you use for shipping..
