Well it looks like I am getting even more disappointed with games every day...
Ok so for the last few months I have tried to find some decent iPad games. I am looking for some classic SNES type
rpgs but I seem to be running into a bit of a problem with everyone of them. For instance I downloaded and played some of Zenonia 4. At first the game was awesome. It played like a single player (with some
pvp) World of Warcraft/Zelda game. It was top down with good classic
rpg graphics. I could see elements of warcraft with the rarity of items and a few other things in the game.
Everything was going smoothly till about 4 hours in when I realized that the game is crippled unless you pay money for zen in the the game. You can't identify items without zen. You can't die and come back without severe penalties without zen. Zen is very expensive and forced on the player; with no way to earn zen by playing.
So after playing four hours of a game that I could have sank a lot more into I have decided to move back to a console game.
I know you are saying, "Well what do you expect from a free game?" and honestly, I agree with you. What I do expect is a game like this that is not crippled by purchasing in game currently with real world money and instead a game that is not crippled and has a all in one package for a set price. I would easily pat $20-$30 for game like that.
Is there no hope for a game like this? Does anyone know of any? Should I just go back to The Secret of Mana?
But I guess I am in the minority here. Zenonia 4 for example has 1302 five star reviews, 112 four star, 24 three star, 5 two star, and 17 one star reviews.
