Ok I ve built up a commissar for my renegades army.
I ve converted him, removed all medals and eagles and made him a gas mask etc.

So in order to know I m ok with it, can a commissar become heretic and renegade, falling under the power of the chaos gods?
Or it is impossible for it to happen at all? Do they prefer to die rather than fall to the forces of chaos?
Are the incorruptible? Please enlighten me, I need to know if I ve killed the fluff with my conversion.
P.S. I know that vraksian militia had its own kind of commissar called enforcers.
I know that in game terms they do the same. I just proffered the idea of the evil commissar.

Killing is easy. Being politically correct is a pain in the ass...

A commissar is a mortal man like any other, and although they're generally iron willed and fearless, they are far from immune to corruption. In fact, I believe one of the Chaos Cultist Sergeants from Dark Vengeance is a disgraced commissar.

Or he could be specifically trained by chaotic forces like the Sons of Sek who have an equivalent rank to the IGs Commissar

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

1) Go to the GW site.

2) Go to the "What's New Today" blog link in the bottom right corner of the screen and click on it (hint, it's got a pick of one of the new cultists on it).

3) Begin reading through that article. It talks about one of the cultist's leaders being modelled with a Commisar's coat, and mentions fluff in the latest white dwarf.

4) You'll have your answer (hint: yes, they can fall to chaos).

It's says it clearly bellow the 360 pic of the champ where they mention his story.

One of the Dark Vengeance guys is a fallen commissar, went mad and opened the gates of a fortress to chaos or something.
Or it is impossible for it to happen at all? Do they prefer to die rather than fall to the forces of chaos?

Most would probably off themselves if they sensed they were falling, obviously not all do, they are still human after all.

See above, they are human, they can fall.

Interesting that one of the Cultist leaders from Dark Vengeance is an ex-Commissar....

Spoiler:
IIRC in the book where he is training future Commissars, he explains that when IG fall to Chaos the Commissar is usually one of the first people killed or one of the most vocal in changing to worship of the ruinous powers.

They're stronger-willed than "normal" guardsmen certainly, and therefore less prone to corruption. But as others have said, still normal men.

Thank you. It seems now that apart from my converted commissar I can use him also for my traitor guard.
