Anyone getting slightly sick of the annual Doctor Who, "The DALEKS are back!", followed by 2-3 Episodes of him eradicating them completely from the Universe, only for them to be brought back next season by them somehow being resurrected? I mean it's getting beyond a fething joke now...
It's like those American Shows like LOST or HEROES, where this in no end to the story as it is written on a season by season basis, with no real direction or end and the sole aim is to keep the audience hooked with endless cliff-hangers that go nowhere and confuse the hell out of everyone (like Polar Bears in the Jungle).

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest! |

Because Daleks are awesome and Doctor Who fans lave Daleks so it makes sense to show them lots because they're a crowd pleaser even if it gets repetitive at times, plus they're classic pop culture icon that's full of nostalgia. BTW, I haven't watched Doctor Who in ages.

Yeah, all aside, "the Weeping Angels" were a good addition and several others have been interesting. But coming back to the tried and tested formula is an easy win, it's a pity because it stifles innovation and a dynamic storyline.

I agree. The Daleks should be given a rest for a while. Using anything too much reduces its impact.
I say it's time for the return of the Giant Maggots!

Considering the pains they went to to destroy both the Time Lords and the Daleks either popping up should be a pretty big deal. The Time Lords only showed up once, and it saw the death of the last Doctor. The Daleks on the other hand just appear willy-nilly all over the place.
I have to wonder though, shouldn't this be in the already existing Dr. Who discussion thread?

Really, it's failed to impress me.

Liking the Asylum episode so far, a bit of some of crazy dalek behaviour would be nice. And i'm pretty sure that the Daleks outside the Asylum in this episode have been around since Season 5. Wasn't the whole point of the Churchill episode that the daleks wouldn't be ressurected/defeated everytime they make an apearence? So there's an actual dalek army/race/government out there which is zooming around space with war camps and what not, destroying things.

Private Eye has disclosed that, according to a BBC insider, the daleks are being pushed on Doctor Who because of their huge commercial value. Dalek toys are insanely popular.
The twist at the end was good. It was obvious that from pretty early on, but the way that her isolation and madness was portrayed was really good.
Also dissapointed that Rory didn't die at any point all that gak about their relationship was really boring.
Next week's episode looks awesome.

I really didn't see the twist at all.
I thought there relationship stuff was quite boring up untill all the 'child stuff' and the gak Amy is still dealing with from last season.
