Got this from Forge World about a month ago and finally got it based, magnetized and everything. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and can't wait to run it! I differed from the instructions a tiny bit, since I read about one person who put a tail fin on it to make it look more like a Thunderhawk and Stormraven and thought that was a cool idea. I might put some wolfy bitz, decals and/or touch it up a bit, but it's essentially finished at this point. Let me know what you think!

Very slick. What do you plan on putting in it?

It looks very nice, but I don;t know what makes it a Space Wolves Storm eagle. It doesn't match their paint scheme, and there's no wolf iconography on it.

Maybe a big squad of Wolf Guard Termies and my Wolf Lord, a full squad of Grey Hunters, or possibly a maxed out Blood Claws squad.

Yeah I suppose so, I don't really use the normal Space Wolves colour scheme on my Wolves. I'm probably gonna add a couple Wolfy Decals to it though, and maybe a wolf skull or 2.

Looks lovely (digging the tail fin) ... The metallic edging to the panels looks really nice against the black.

How much of a swine was it to put together? The fuselage side panels were so bent with mine that it ended up being called the StormBanana.

It actually wasn't too bad, the left wing has broken off a couple times though. Took me a couple days to completely assemble. The fuselage was slightly bent, but when I glued it all into place the rest of the hull and the glue kept it straight.

I like it, but it looks more like a DC vehicle than a SW one.

Excellent job and put together much faster than I can ever manage. I'd like to get one but I'm rather wary of it being warped, miscast or fragile and although I only live about nine miles from FW/GW HQ, taking things back is a pain. How much cleaning up/repairing did you have to do? Did you pin the wings? Does everything fit? My LR doors were a disappointment - the angle of one of the cut-off corners is wrong and it doesn't make it look like a highly-engineered piece of hardware which rather takes the shine off it, particularly when they presumably used the original plastic door as a template in the first place.

It takes a bit of clean-up, but it fits together pretty well and didn't have any major miscasts. There were a couple bitz I had to file down a tad to get a proper fit, but nothing beyond reason. Not sure if I was just in the minority, but I was quite pleased with it. I didn't pin the wings, but that would probably be a good way to permanently ensure that they don't come off (I just used lots of super glue).

btw, I'll change the thread title a bit to reflect the non-standard SW paint job.
