Just wanted to warn anyone buying DV to be extremely careful when clipping out the dark angel commanders head. The wings on the helm are very fragile. I didn't even clip near them and the tips break off. I'd advise to try using the hobby knife instead of clippers for this one. I messed up my first one so I tried to be even more careful but ended up having the same result on the second. Just wanted to forwarn everyone.

Yeah, I noticed... In all honesty, quite a few of my models have chips and scars thanks to the difficulty of separating components from sprue.

You too huh, I've been trying to decide if I can get the tip to glue back on but it's really small. Not sure if it's worth the trouble. It does give him a battle damaged look to him so maybe I'll leave it.

Thanks for the heads up. I wont be clipping mine from their sprues for a while yet, but I did notice some of the components looked really difficult and fiddly to get out of their sprue frames

Thanks, I'll take your advice to mind. Although, if I do mess up still, not the worst thing in the world

Hobby knife with a narrow chisel blade is the way to go.

The LE chaplains staff isn't much better there's a vent on the spike at the end. Too much pressure and it will snap.

I used a razor saw for this.

Before you make the cuts to remove the parts from the spree it could help to relieve some of the tension on the part by slicing the outer part of the spruce so there's some give. I haven't tested it but it sounds like it could help.
