Hey guys!

After all of your help and feedback on my daemons army I put it to the test this weekend at my gaming store.

Between a small group of friends we battled it out to secure 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions. My first opponent was a grey knight player. I thought oh Jeese ive lost this one. But I actually managed to win. It was objectives and I had first blood, line breaker and 3 of the objectives whilst he only had 1 and kill the warlord. I only had plaguebearers and pink horrors left but the game ended after 6 rounds.

My second game was against eldar. I can't remember the name of the game type but we had an objective in each of our deployments worth 3 points if you captured it.... I tabled him by turn 3.....

Now people said daemons were not playable but I'm satisfied that I did them justice

Well without knowing any of the lists you played against I can't say.
Though unless your friends got the Internet to help with their lists they may have had trouble against a tweaked daemons list. Especially if you had some luck with your rolling.
That and Eldar are fairly old now so they aren't as effective as they used to be...
It'd be nice to see their lists though...

I'd guess with the little evidence we have it may be the opponents.

Did you roll consistantly above average and your opponents usually rolled below average? I have played a few games where I know my opponent rolling terribly has contributed greatly to me winning. On the flip side, I know I've lost a game or two from rolling really bad, I think every one has.

Well from memory my grey knight opponent had:

A grand master with all the tricked out grenades.

Roughly 12 terminators with an assortment of different items, I know he had some banner.

2 dread knights

A 10 man strike squad, with corteaz I think, the imperial guy

And the eldar player had

A massed amount of jetbikes

Autarch on jetbike

Farseer with Seer council on jetbikes

Fire prism

1 squad of 5 dark reapers with exarch

1 squad of 10 rangers

1 squad of 10 striking scorpions with exarch

Off the top my head that's all I can remember

Automatically Appended Next Post:
As for rolling in average i don't think it was above or below average, if anything i rolled below average, my bloodthirster only lasted 2 rounds of combat with a 2++ save!!

And I had 3 squads of 5 flamers, I was rolling a lot of 1s, 2s and 3s....

That GK list is kinda odd...
It makes sense up until the Strike Squad and Coteaz...
The Eldar list kinda makes sense but I can't think of an Eldar unit apart from harlequins that shouldn't be in a wave serpent...
The seer council on jetbikes are a good shout though...

IMO you have a fairly superior list. The gap between GK and Daemons has been narrowed because of 6th so though GK still have some advantages over daemons it's not all one sided.
