Do you guys think that Confessor Kyrinov’s power weapon (the mace of valas) is a maul or an unusually power weapon. It looks very maul like and it already has the concussive rule and of course GW’s FAQ does not address it. His profile just lists it as a power weapon.

Thats what will be needed to make the determination.

Unusual. It is a power weapon with additional special rules. It doesn't give str bonus so isn't a maul. They should FAQ it to be though.

Yeah, its an unusual power weapon.

Check the FAQ to make sure they just didn't change it to have the Concussive rule.

If they did then it is now a power maul because concussive is a USR and doesn't make something a Unique power weapon.

As written? it's an unusual power weapon. It'd out of date though and should (imho) be FAQ-ed to be a power maul whenever someone gets around to it.

Yeah I was that what I was thinking, and unusual weapon. I checked the FAQ to day and there is nothing on the subject, once again thanks for focus on detail GW. I would rather it be a maul, myself. For get the AP 3, would rather have the +2 S so he can actually wound something. I think for friendly games we will have it be a maul and stick to RAW for events.
