Hey everybody. I have a long and sordid past with miniature gaming. When I left for undergrad (12+ years ago) my mother threw out all of my minis. I lost:

1400 pts of Space Marines
1200 pts of Eldar

A massive Wood Elf army

My GorkaMorka Warband

My Necromunda Delaque gang

My Mordheim witch hunters

All my paints and all my tools.

I've never stopped browsing the gaming stores, and lurking the gaming forums; but, actually purchasing has been so far out of my monetary reach as a graduate student that it's only with longing glances that I drool over everyone else's beautiful paints and builds.

Starting next year I hope to start rebuilding my hobby. These days I primarily focus on skirmish gaming, Anything by Ganesha Games is my usual - I can typically find an hour or two on the weekend and a handful of prepainted DnD minis. When I return to 40k I plan to get into Dark Eldar. I've also been toying around with the idea of getting into Warmahordes (probably Menoth). Mostly, though, I miss building terrain. I loved building terrain.

My favorite game to this day, however, is still Rogue Trader 1st ed. I love narrative skirmish almost as much as I love 40k fluff.

Hi, Welcome to Dakka!

With that said, I shall back away slowly and ominously and disappear in a puff of smoke, then smuggle some fruit across the border in order to stay competitive with the veggie cartel.
