First Wolves list. Going for semi-competitive and criticism is definitely appreciated.

Wolf Lord on Thunder Wolf
3x TWC

Rune Priest, TDA, LL, JOTWW
9x GH, Standard, Mark, Melta
Drop Pod

WG Battle Leader, TDA
9x GH, Standard, Mark, Melta
Drop Pod

WG Battle Leader, TDA
9x GH, Standard, Mark, Plasma
Drop Pod

Lone Wolf, TDA, CF, SS
2x Fenrisian Wolves

2x Land Speeder Typhoon, HB

5x Long Fang, 2x LC, 1x ML, 2x HB (for crying out loud, only 1 ML in the box!)

By my estimation that should be in the 1500 pts. neighborhood. Should I DP the Long Fangs as well? Swiftclaw/Skyclaws? Suggestions greatly appreciated.

These guys can't fit in their drop pods as they are. The dude in terminator take up the same amount of passenger space as two dudes in power armor. So these units are trying to fit the equivalent of eleven power armored dudes into a drop pod that can only fit ten. The WG Battle leaders are chumps. There is no way that they are worth 90 points each as you have them set up. Consider one of these options instead...
Spoiler:

Option #1:

Get rid of the WGBL's completely and just take a unit of 10 grey hunters. This way, both units can have an extra special weapon (meltagun or plasmagun) for free. That saves you 150 points, which is enough for another unit of long fangs or more grey hunters or a dreadnought or just about anything - But don't waste it on characters.

Spoiler:

Option #2:

Get rid of the WGBL's (saves 180 points). Then get a unit of wolf guard. You have to get at least 3 WG models in the unit. Then attach the rune priest to the Long Fang unit and attach the 3 WG models to the grey hunters as pack leaders (1 WG per GH unit).

Wolf Guard
WG in power armor + combi-melta & Wolf Claw (38 points)
WG in power armor + combi-plasma & Wolf Claw (38 points)
WG in power armor + combi-melta & Wolf Claw (38 points)

That gives you 66 points to spare. You'll want to spend that on upgrades to your wolf lord. Because if you're going to invest in a wolf lord, then you need to protect him.

Wolf Lord on Thunderwolf Mount (140)
+ Storm Shield (30)
+ Runic Armor (20)
+ Wolf Claw (15)

Much better. I still don't think you should put your Rune Priest up close, but this is a good list.

Thank you for your input, Grug

To scale this up to 2k, would you recommend to add mech (vindicator, predator, landraider)?

And would you recommend and ADL for anti-flyer?

Any thoughts?

TWC, all TH/SS or keep the BG's?

I would say add another group of long fangs or sit your rune priest with you Long fangs and use the divination power to reroll failed to hit rolls, maybe some scouts in there ? There cheap and very nasty if you have a tank sat in the corner somewhere, there ability to come on any table edge you want on a 3+reroll makes then an awesome choice? Really depends on what you feel you want your army to be and judging from DP it's Assualty .... Get some sky laws for fun!

Yeah it seems like a very nice list - A few things to consider:

Even though Living lightning / Jotww is kinda our main go-to powers, Murderous Hurricane, can be a nice alternative, especially when you are launching him perhaps relatively close proximity to the enemy.

-
When going to 2k, if you want to stay within out codex, there are several good options.

You could get a few more TWC, Add another unit of Grey Hunters, Normally its nice to keep 1 troop choice pr. 500 points.

A Dreadnought, either a Rifleman, or a close combat variant, perhaps with a HeavyFlamer or 2 - it fits nicely with the drop pods you already have.

You could add an agis defence line, to put your LongFangs behind, and have a buff-runepriest (with divination powers) there to man the turret - if you give him a chooser of the slain, he is pretty damn accurate.

So:
1x Troop - around 200 points
1x Rune priest with chooser 110 pt
1x defense line - around 100 points
1x Melee dreadnought with HF and TL-HF in a DP- 150 pt

are all good options

I really appreciate all the help you are giving me I picked up probably about 90% of this list yesterday along with 1500 pts. of BA's, now I just have to put them all together, lol.

I'm running 4x GH packs, is it better to run a 5th pack? I was thinking about adding in a pack of scouts (snipers, most likely).

I'm definitely picking up the ADL as it seems like a pretty good fortification all around.

You think I should pick up a second Rune Priest? I was considering putting the Rune Priest I have with the LF's and just shoving another WG TDA into the first GH pack. Thoughts?

Sorry - I somehow got your first post wrong, and only thought you had 3x Grey Hunters.

Well, more bodies on the field is a good thing - and two Rune Priests could be very nice - I often run with that myself in 6th! one with Codex powers, and one with divination to stay back and buff Longfangs, Landspeeders what have you.

And remember, that Space Wolves can take 2 HQ pr HQ slot, so you can effectively have 4 HQ's + allies in any given battle, twice that if you play with the double FoC at 2k points, altho not many do

IMO, at 2k points the only reason to utilize both FoC's is for min/maxing. Any thoughts on adding Scouts?

I'd say have the scouts be used for outflanking and tank hunting. They are a pretty nasty surprise and are a "cool" unit. However, if you like the sniper scouts go ahead and use them. Those lucky 6's can be good for picking out Nobs and sgts etc.

TBH this list is very good but it is sort of the "standard" sounding list to me, with the exception of the land speeders and lone wolf. I'm not a SW player or anything but there isn't much special about this list besides those. I am glad you have a few of those more flavorful units in there but sometimes adding little deviations like Skyclaws or those outflanking scouts can be a fun surprise unit to include as well. Maybe not the "best" choice, but they can be a fun unit to use, if you are into that.

I am okay with 'standard' for the time being as I have yet to play a game with other than my AOBR pieces.

I am definitely considering throwing in a squad or two of scouts for outflanking and general chaos (the non-pointy star kind).
