Looks pretty straightforward, upgrades kept to a minimum as it should be. Moreover, the army allows to combat the enemy at each threat range, from 48'' to 12''. I'd think about turning the Cmd squad into a troop unit since the 6th ed requires scoring in 5 of 6 mission.
The art to play this army is to keep the enemy at arm's length.

I would definately try and get another troop in there. Dropping the Command Squad is probably the best place for it.

I think the Dreads are nice, but I prefer AutoLas Preds for bikes. AV 13 and can pump out some Str 9. The Dreads will help with Fliers though, so it is probably a wash.

7th Edition Tournament Record:

15-2

War in the Mountain GT: Best Overall, 6-0 Dark Eldar

Bugeater GT: 4th, Tournament Runner Up, 5-1 Dark Eldar

Wargamescon: 7th, Best Dark Eldar. 4-1

I think going for combat squadable bikers is the best choice. You will need the extra scoring units and it is the cheapest way.
You may have done this, I am struggle to count points to work out how many bikers you have.

I would go for MM instead of the heavy bolters, it is just a nicer weapon.

I would only take the command squad if they are loaded up in deathstar fashion, at the moment they are not so much better than your troop choices.

I would arm the captain for cc, this gives you a little cc threat to let your other guys stay a good distance away. I would at least give him meltabombs or hellfire, as at the moment he isn't doing much.

Yes i was going to combat squad the bikes ( 8 bikes + attack bike in each squad) so i have enough scoring units hopefully, the problem i have is i am not sure what i would replace the command squad with, and as far as making the captain more CC orientated im not sure if thats any use with just the one model.

While cheaper to combat squad bikes, i think you're losing out on some serious potential fire power by doing so.

Basically with a bike squad you need a minimum of 5 bikes, one can be an attack bike. The basic 4 bikes and attack bike with multi melta is 165pts. Leaving you the option of plasma or melta. Personally i like to have a nice mixture, i like doubles so losing a squad isn't detrimental to the battle.

Right now your two squads are 570pts. you could break that down to:

Bike Squad (4+1) - 195pts.
-2x Plasma Gun, Multi-Melta Attack Bike

Bike Squad (4+1) - 195pts.
-2x Plasma Gun, Multi- Melta Attack Bike

Bike Squad (4+1) - 185pts.
-2x Melta Guns, Multi-Melta Attack Bike.

Total: 575. Nets you 2 extra special weapons, another attack bike and another scoring unit.

Dreadnoughts are a fine choice.

I actually really like the Plasmacide command squad. But at 1500pts its an expensive unit in an already expensive army. I'd take another squad of Plasma Bikes, add a power weapon on the Captain just in case he gets tied down, and look at an Aegis line for 250pts...

Just some thoughts!
