I just got done reading Rynn's world and in the book it stated that other chapters came to help them. After I finished the book I realized that it didnt state what chapters came to help them and how many of them survived.

My question is what other chapters came to help them and how many survived after the whole conflict on Rynn's world?

such an Awsome book. IMHO one of the best books out there.

I think the whole point of the book was to tell the back story behind the 25th anniversary campaigns, they dont list the armies or titans because they wanted to have players inject some stories about helping the crimson fists out.

I haven't read the book, but one of them for sure is Black Templars. A chapter from the same founding legion, and they have a specific crusade for this purpose...Crusade of Brotherhood (772 Battle Brothers). There are even accounts of the BT and CF intermixing their colors and fighting as one unit.

Only thing I found online regarding Rynn' s world relief was that 6 different space marine chapters went to their aide. I do remember something involving the Black Templar's and I also want to say that the Ultramarines sent a force as well.

I think the Salamanders and Imperial Fist helped out with that as well. I am not 100% on that tho.

It would make sense for the Imperial Fist to help out. I have heard rumors of the Imperial Fists having Vaults of thousands of extra geneseeds laying around on well fortified worlds.

I vaguely recall the Dark Angels Ravenwing being involved, but that was from the Warhammer wikia so take it with a grain of salt.

Bell of Lost Souls had a canon campain for it listing the assisting Astartes. It was a crapton, that's for sure.

This book always makes me view crimson fists as 'dopey'

I know they said that the missile was tampered with, but I can't help thinking the missile was a malfunction... And the crimson fists turning round going " D'oh! "

Yeah, the whole missle thing getting jacked up and falling back down to kill amlost all of there marines there is kind of odd. All but, like a dozen died? really??

Its still an awesome read, just the way that chapter was almost wiped out didnt really float my boat.

Not read the book but I guess they were trying to keep to the fluff that was in the very first RT where this is what happened

I never heard about that fluff.

From what I can remember from the book, the techmarines were blessing the missile, and they were not all in the best condition. Thats where this malfunction came about... and you know the rest. I guess I just dont know how a few marines could survive this, if 1000 others died?

It's a big missile to start with. Then imagine the entire chapter's ammunition supplies blowing up as well as the reactors of the fortress...
It'd be a fairly large explosion i'd imagine.

According to the old Assassins Codex there are rumours that the Assassinorum had something to do with it

There are even rumours which implicate the Officio Assassinorum in the downfall of certain Space Marine Chapters - the mysterious loss of the Fire Hawks' fleet in the warp, the unexplained destruction of the Crimson Fists' Chapter fortress on Rynn's World, the disastrous ambush of the Angels of Retribution at Alantor X and several other less well-known incidents have all been laid at the assassins' door.

Around this time the Crimsons Fists were notorious for being lapdogs of the High Lords and were involved in the extermination of two chapters of Space Marines, the Sons of Gideon, who went nuts and the Marines Vigilant, who were under some form of mind control by a warp entity.

I put the Celestial Lions plight on Armageddon down to the Vindicare temple.

IIRC, around 200-300 marines survived with some elements of the Scout company.

The Chapters that came to their aid included at least the Black Templars, Dark Angels, Ultramarines, Salamanders, and either the Knights of Gryphonne or Howling Griffons. I'm not quite sure on the last part, but the first four are a definate. One would also have thought that the Imperial Fists would have showed up as well but I don't recall that, in fact I think their absence was made note of in accordance with its queerness.
