HQ:
Librarian:
Add Terminator Armor & Storm Shield 140
Elites:
2x-Dreadnaught
Sub Heavy Flamer
With Drop Pod 150 (2x=300)
Fortification:
Aegis Defense Line
Add Quad-gun 100
Troops:
3x-6 man Space Marine Tactical Squad
With Razorback
Add Twin-linked Lascannon 181 (3x= 543)
1x- 10 man Tactical Squad
Add Meltagun
Add Lascannon 185
Heavy Support:
2x- Vindicator 115 (2X=230)
TOTAL=1498
Very basic plan: Librarian and 10-man Tac Squad holds the Aegis line while the Razorback and vindicators move forward to attack. Dreadnaughts drop in where most needed. Thoughts?

Its not great. Issues you have are your dreads have no support so will get vaporised. Secondly your vindicators best turn is turn 1 as opponent most clustered. Here you have drop pods and walkers restricting where they can fire. Finally what are you going to do when a big bug comes up in your deployment zone, of belial drops by with some terminator buddies? Ie no counter assault.
Tacs in razors fine.
If you want vindicators then dreads should walk. Maybe two tlac for one and other with a ccw? Thats spreading his AT off your razors too.
Libby good.
I would lose a troops choice and find some points for some more muscle. 5 terms w CML always good and work well w libby in TDA.

gonna be great with heavy kills, but you will run into hella trouble with swarmy (nid, ork ground pound) armies. also 6 man teams seem to get eaten quick when i've tried to capture objectives, so i stopped running less than a full squad. vindicators are ok, but mebbe run some extra armor to give em that much more help surviving, cause a 24 inch shot is gonna put em in harms way alot. back em up with a scout sniper squad and the new roll-a-6-and-you-place-the-wound rule will help. I use 3 10 man tac squads, one 5 man sniper for support. what powers you use with the librarian also really makes a difference, even if he isnt frontline.

Thanks for the advise thus far. I have taken it to heart and have reworked my list as follows:
HQ:
Librarian:
Add Terminator Armor & Storm Shield
Add Combi-flamer/Melta 155
Elites:
1x- 5 man Terminator Squad
Add cyclone Missile
Add Heavy Flamer 235
1x- Ironclad Dreadnaught
Add Assault Launcher 150
Fortification:
Aegis Defense Line
Add Quad-gun 100
Troops:
2x- 10 man Tactical Squad +170
Add Meltagun
Add Missile Launcher
With Rhino 210 (2x=420)
2x- 5 man Scout squad
Add Sniper Rifles (x5)
Add Camo Cloaks 90 (2x=180)
Heavy Support:
2x- Predators
Add TL Lascannon
Add Heavy Bolter Sponsons 130(2X=260)
TOTAL=1500
Hopefully this is a more balanced list. I wasn't able to work in 3 full Tac squads so i put in another Scout team. If the current troops choices are not sufficent for a 1500point game I could cut one of the big guns to get more. This is supposed to be a general Purpose list that can be at least somewhat effective against any army. What do you think?

Ironclads range is too short.
Terms can only get cml or hvy flamer, take cml
Preds i recommend either autocannon lascannon sponsons, or autocannon heavybolters. If you want tllc, take all lascannons for a hunterkiller tank.
Solid list, should do ok.

I like that second list.
Would be nice to scrape together the points for a drop pod for the ironclad.
Preds should be auto/las. I find the TLLC/HBs to be to diverse; generally half your weapons are going to be useless shooting at your target. The autocannon is a wonderfully versatile weapon, I hate to pay the premium points to swap it out for something more focused.
I would not bother buying a gun for the librarian. If you want him shooting, get one of his nice blast powers.
As mentioned, only one heavy weapon at 5 men for termis. A chainfist is nice to have though, you can tack those on if you have the points.
My two basic tac squad are ML/F and MM/M in rhinos. It's nice to have some diversity.

Hopefully this will be the last iteration of my list (lets get to painting!):
HQ:
Librarian:
Add Terminator Armor & Storm Shield 140
Elites:
1x- 5 man Terminator Squad
Add cyclone Missile
Add Chainfist (x3) 245
1x- Dreadnaught
Add TL Autocannon 115
Fortification:
Aegis Defense Line
Add Quad-gun 100
Troops:
2x- 10 man Tactical Squad
Add Meltagun
Add Missile Launcher
With Rhino 210 (2x=420)
1x- 8 man Scout Squad
Add Sniper Rifles (x8)
Add Camo Cloaks 138
Heavy Support:
2x- Predators
Add Lascannon Sponsons 120(2X=240)
1x- Thunderfire Cannon 100
By changing the configuration of my predators and Dreadnaught (thx Loricalus) and combining my 2 5-man Scouts into 1 8-man squad I freed up enough points to by a Thunderfire Cannon (to address the anti-horde issue brought by Sirmauz) And finally I dropped the weapon on my Librarian and bought 3 chainfist for my termy squad (good call Nevelon). I really appreciate all the help in building the general purpose list I needed.

To be honest, 3 chainfists is a bit much. Generally one is all you need on the off chance you are running into AV 14. Most things will crumple under repeated power fist strikes. Drop from 3 to 1, and take those 10 points and buy a heavy weapon for you scouts.

Nice. Lotta folks think Scouts are just filler, as did my Vulkan playing buddy, till my Scout Snipers offed a Dev squad in turn 1, a Libby in turn 2, and then knocked the final wound of Vulkan in turn 4. I think 90 points of "filler" well paid for themselves, and they always do. Just keep em up high, and with a clear view to shoot. That +1 cover means in just about any situation they 4+ or better vs all shots, and like I said, a 6 Rends, pins, AND you can choose your hit... heh... he likes that MOTW, or Melta Gunner, or you get what I'm aiming at? (If you see the red dot you do... heh)
