If you had to fight a space marine chapter which would you have the most second thoughts about i personally would really not like to be on the wrong side of the black templars or flesh tearers .

peronaly the tearers have nothing else to lose and are almost all infected with the black rage. black templars are really just insane when it comes down to it.

There was a quote from one of the old 40k books.

"We prayed for the Angels to come and save us. Now we pray that they will never come again."

I'd say Black Templar. They'd kill first, ask questions later.

Grey Knights because there is no way you're gonna make it out unless they're busy killing a ton of other peeps.

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

The Lamenters, because they are like some sort of bad luck magnet. Pretty much everyone they meet get's screwed over somehow.

You'd probably win though

Would have said blood angels but since 6th made FNP a bit more balanced I'd have to go with gray knights. To many shenanigans. It gets confusing.

Blood Knights - Like Flesh Tearers only just way more berserk so they are officially renegade

Playing mostly Necromunda and Battletech, Malifaux is awesome too!

If we assume a ten scale, with 1 being a pushover, and 10 being certain death, then fighting any Space Marine force is pretty much an 11.

"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

I would say a horde of Black Templars. Because they hate me and everything else I stand for (assuming I was a filthy xenos, heretic scum or damned warpspawn).

I won't be afraid of fighting all those CC oriented marines... I can shoot them by distance after all, and the fact that they're generally insane only comes at my advantage...

I would be afraid to fight marines that makes extensive use of their lightning strike tactics with overwhelming maneuverability and firepower.

I would say Raven guard, Ultramarines, Dark Angels... among the less famous: Mantis warriors, Charcarodons, Raptors...
In particular DA are pretty scary... If they catch me i will end somewhere in the rock in the hands of an interrogator chaplain so....

Btw Grey Knights are probably the scariest: If I lose, I'm screwed... If I win the Inquisition is going to nuke the whole f***ing planet so i'm screwed anyway...

Well given that you are probably screwed no matter who it is I would still vote for the following:

Carcharodons because they are supposedly the most brutal.

Black Templars because they are the most angry and zealous and would just keep hunting you down in a Crusade if you managed to escape.

Minotaurs because they bring their entire flipping chapter to each fight.

Carcharodons would seem pretty scary to me if I were an enemy of Man.

Not only are they brutal but they utilize stealth or speed to assault the weakest point in the defense.
A bunch of Space Marines pretty much appearing out of nowhere would be terrifying.

The Night Lords' terror tactics would be terrifying to see, and presumably they're murduring everyone and leaving them for everyone to see, so scary to fight, not as scary in terms of actual skill and numbers,

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.
