I remember there were people complaining about the search feature for the forum, so I decided announce the Google search engine I created for this website. Basically, it uses Google to search through the entire website for whatever you are looking for. I created it a while back for the Sturmkrieg writers to search through various fanfiction and background discussions, but it seems like it would be very useful for everyone here.

It says Search Dakka Dakka for something about Sturmkrieg, but it's a totally general purpose search engine so it will be fine for whatever you're looking for.

I didn't put this in Nuts and Bolts since I thought more people would see it and so it would be more useful here. If they admins want to, you can use interwiki transclusion to embed it in an article page to display it prominently and have it on Dakka. I could change the description for it in that case.

I remember people complained about it. I usually use the Sturmkrieg one there instead of the wiki search function. The one thing the wiki search function is good for though is searching the underlying code.

I'm another person who dislikes the existing search function. I think what you've done here with the google thing is great, but where do I put up my hand to do some dev work to make the actual Dakka search function return more expected results?
