I've tried searching and I am still confused so I am sorry if I am missing something.
I just bought some AoBR Termies for cheap just so I can have some more bodies to get started with. They come on the old slotta bases which are clearly smaller than the bases my new DV termies are based on.
So my question is, do I need to buy new larger bases for the old termies or are they okay since they came with the smaller bases?

The AoBR Termies did come with large bases. I think your seller gave you the wrong ones.
|

Your seller did give you the wrong ones. I have a couple of those AOBR terminators and they ALL came on big bases. You might want to contact your seller and tell him about his screw up

The AoBR terminators came with the same 40mm bases every other terminator does nowadays.
25mm is not going to fit them properly, and won't look nearly as good.

Terminators used to come with the small slotted bases. I just bought a whole bunch of large bases and moved them over. For sure try to get the right bases if you can, small ones do not work.

They work, you just have to be an expert balancer at times. The only termi's I have are all 2nd edition space wolves ... I just got some 40mm bases off the eBay recently.

Yep, termies in question use the 40mm base. Using the small slotted bases would be a "cheat" him selling them to you as their bases may also be a cheat.
