Essentially, the idea is to drop a Librarian with the Sternguard turn 1 and blow up anything with the potential to destroy my tanks. The rest of the tanks advance up the field with the Vindicators and Baal Predators in front to protect the Razorbacks since they have weaker armour whilst a Librarian provides cover saves. As the tanks advance, the Vindicators will thin out enemy infantry and eventually the Assualt Squads will finish them off.

I think you are on the right track, but some points can be reinvested to make this list at it's full potential.

I see you have make your razorbacks a jack of all trades, meaning you have tooled your assault squads to assault. Truth is, you don't even want them to get out. 5 man squads are very squishy, even if they can support each other in assault, it is unlikely. You cannot assault after disembarking in 40k6e, so this means you'd have to plan an assault 2 turns in advance pretty much. I'm all for keeping the special weapon, but I'd ditch the PF/PW, freeing up 80 pts. If you also scratch the priests, thats 210 pts that could go to more dakka.

Also, I don't see the point in investing 175 pts into a character that is going on a suicide mission. Seems like a waste of points, and he really doesn't add much to their efficiency. A Libby with shield provides more for this list as it'll protect your vehicles.

Great, thanks. I've updated the list with your advice in mind and now with 9 tanks it looks a lot scarier. I also thought that adding a Librarian to the Sternguard would help draw even more fire away from my tanks. Is that still too many points to throw away on a suicide mission?

I think a dread drop podding will be better for you than 5 sternguard in your list.

I wouldn't be scared of reinstating the priest. FNP troops are useful for winning games.

Flamer templates on a tank are hard to position then you need to be melta and assault range which isn't fun.
