Hey Dakka, I took this list to a local tournament, and it performed quite admirably, I went undefeated, I wanted to share it, and possibly get some C&C on it!
Here it goes

Destroyer Lord (160) (SW, MSS, WS)
x6 Wraiths x3 Whip coils (240) (D-lord goes here)
x10 Warriors (130)
x9 Warriors (117)
x5 Warriors (in night scythe) (65)
x1 Night Scythe (100)
x2 Annihilation Barges w/ Tesla (180)

992 points

1 flyer, 2 av 13 vehicles, 1 400 point melee deathstar, and plenty plenty plenty of troops, plus a highly mobile late game scoring unit.
Whaddya think?

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

Why a squad of 9 and not 10 warriors? 1005pts would be even closer to 1000pts than 992pts.

And I wouldn't call that plenty plenty of troops (I call it plenty of troops when I use 4 full warrior squads of 20 each).

Seems like a powerful list though!

I kept it at 9 just to make sure I was under the 1000 point limit. I suppose I could pump it up to 10 if my opponents were okay with it.
So far, I just haven't run into issues where I didn't have enough troops at least.
If its big guns don't tire, i have 2 more scoring units, it its scouring, I've got the wraiths too!
