Hey guys, about a year ago I bought this airbrush set:

http://www.harborfreight.com/1-5-hp-58-psi-compressor-and-airbrush-kit-95630.html

For christmas, the wife bought me the Badger 105 patriot airbrush.

http://www.amazon.com/Badger-Air-Brush-Patriot-Gravity-Airbrush/dp/B002W84GTO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1346952298&sr=8-1&keywords=badger+patriot+105

The problem I have is that the Badger air hose does not fit on the Harbor Freight compressor. Anyone know what adaptor I would need to make this work? On the other hand, I was thinking of just buying another little compressor for me to use. I was thinking of this one from Badger:

http://www.amazon.com/Badger-Air-Brush-Co-80-3N-Compressor/dp/B005UH7AHY/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1346951846&sr=8-9&keywords=badger+air+compressor

Anyone have any experience with this particular compressor? The optimum solution would be to make my old compressor work with my new airbrush, but I wouldn't protest too much if I had to buy a new one. Any help you guys could provide would be great!

These people sell the adapter you need to make it fit a 1/8 inch BSP pipe fitting, which is your regular airbrush hose. I beleive Badger sell hoses with their specialty bit on one end. Always struck me as a way to force you to buy more things off them ; i.e unethical bussiness practises But maybe they genuinly have a reason for choosing the tiny fixture over a standardised one. (the standard is 'British Standard Pipe' though, and Badger are American, could have something to do with it)

edit; Noticing you are in USA, That may not be your best bet to order from, but there is almost for sure a supplier in USA with this adapter. Etiher that or a Badger hose might be easy for you to get hold of.

Edit 2: If you still would use both airbrushes, look at quick connectors. Find a male piece to fit each of your brushes, and then a female piece for th ehose... boom, hotswapable airbrushes. The quick connect piece seals as you disconnect so you dont need to reach for the regulator and kill the pressure each time.

The adapters are standard sizes and you should be able to get them at Harbor Freight even or home depot.

If you are going to step up to a different compressor, I would recommend getting one with a tank. Yes, they are more money, but you get consistent air and not the chug chug chug of ones without a tank. On top of that, they do not have run all the time either. Yes, they are more money. I picked up a good airbrush compressor with a tank for around $140 on amazon. I cannot find the link right now, or I would post it.

I found the compressor I picked up with the tank. It works very well and so far it has been rock solid.
