Hey everyone. I normally hate these kinds of threads, but I'm almost out of ideas. I'm starting work on a Tomb Kings army for WHFB, and I'd like to field a pair of Screaming Skull Catapults in my list. However, I'm rather broke and can't really afford $40 a piece for them. Also, I rather dislike the official model, even now that's it's Finecast. So, I need some ideas for either a conversion, scratchbuild, or even an existing alternate model. Anyone have any thoughts? And I'm assuming, since it's nearly Halloween, that I can probably pick up some decently molded skulls and skeletons for cheap to use for a scratchbuild. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

Reaper's would likely be the best bet right out of the box. Similar size to the GW one. The RAFM one is smaller by a bit, and of course some people might not care too much for the elephant based one from Mirliton - but with proper bits...it could look the part.

Of course, you will probably need to supply your own crew and swap out the round shields with something more fitting with the TK theme (pretty sure Reaper has some of that style shield in their Bone Yard).

Thanks for the input, Sean. You're right, the Reaper one does look fairly good.

I converted one out of one of their mid 90's bone chariots, an empire mortar, etheral skullz from the coven throne kit and some spare dudes for like $10-15
