Is there anything I should keep in mind when putting one together?

I'm thinking of building and painting one as my 'last hurrah' in hobbying and would love to avoid any 'traps' in construction... like gluing this before that when you should have glued those with these... or something like that.

You can try to magnetise the barrel, sponsons and lascannons on top of them, so You get both versions - Baneblade and Hellhammer - it is tricky but doable. You should think where You want the HB/flamestorm cannon sponsons - in terms of range it is best to put them in front (the box art shows them in the middle). Apart of that, as far as I remember, there were no issues and You can also model another HQ colonel from spare left-overs. Just follow the instructions, which were quite good and don't rush ahead. The only trouble which You might be into is gluing the front hull part before You have fixed the demolisher cannon or gluing the bottom of the turret before You placed gunner/commander, but if You do follow instructions step-by-step, You won't have these issues. The kit is large but was quite easy to assemble.

UPDATE. I don't remember what was in the instructions about it, but I started with assembling both track sections and the glued one section to the upper and lower parts of the hull and then added the other track section. It is simplier than when join both upper and lower parts of hull only to find out that it for unknown reasons it won't snap together with track sections. Apart of that, the rest should be pretty straightforward.

The only problems i had with it was when i got a bit disrcated and put too much glue on one of the sponsons sticking it in place so it wouldn't move, but as cain mentioned the instructions are actualy pritty good on the bane blade and i found it all fitted together with a minimum of fuss

Aw heck yeah! haha I'll use it to terrorize my cats. Maybe I can put in a voice chip that does sound bytes from Dawn of War... 'Forward you dogs!'

Have a second pair of hands available.

Some clothes pegs (or clips of some kind - like foldback clips) to hold the hull floor together (3 pieces) while the glue dries.
Rubber bands for the track units.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

No trap. It's a superb kit, easier to assemble than a Rhino. I mean, it takes longer, obviously, but it's as simple as can be.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.
