So my brother and I are going to be playing a few games this weekend at our FLGS so where doing 1500 pt matches. He plays a close combat salamander army, we share a FOC so I am taking care of our HQ and going to try and build some sort of gun line or heavy support option. So what I was thinking...

HQ:

Master (Power Weapon, Artificer Armour, Bolt pistol) = 116

Command Squad (3 Bolt Pistol and CCW, Company Champion and Apothercary) = 120

Troops:

Tactical Squad (Missile Launcher, Plasma Gun) = 170

Tactical Squad (Missile Launcher, Plasma Gun) = 170

Tactical Squad (Missile Launcher, Plasma Gun) = 170

This list is 4th edition, so in 5th it equals 800.

Since I don't play SM, the best advice I can give here is to find a better thread title than '~'.

The "master" as you put it would need to be a captain and even then would be 130 points and he needs to be a captain to have a command squad as chapter masters have honour guard.

Are you using the 4th edition codex?.

Edit: the tac squads would be 180 as well.The command squad is 130 points too.

Your list would be

space marine captain with power wep and artificer armour 130

command squad with Bolt pistol and ccw with a company champion and apothocary 130

tac squad with missile and plasma gun 180


tac squad with missile and plasma gun 180


tac squad with missile and plasma gun 180

total 800 points

745 points overall, what do you think?

For 25 more points you could get lysander instead of that captain. It would better fit the Imperial fist theme.

TBH I'm really not concerned on fluff or fitting the story, also I'd have to drop some stuff :( but thanks for the suggestion I know I'm going to use him in my 1k list

There is no reason to have beacons on both pods. To be honest, you don't even need it on the first. Pods generally don't mishap. And you might be dropping the second pod on a different objective then the first, or back to support the scouts. It's not like you are dropping flamers or vanguard vets which need to be right on top of the target.

You can take those points, buy some melta bombs, a HB or ML for the scouts, or something else fun (like upgrading to lysander as suggested above)
