Im currently in a game and was wonderin i have a big mek in a squad of mega nobs and wanted to refuse a challange.
The rule says that a unit that consits on only one character cannot refuse the challange. Is this corrrect therfore my big mek has to attack and not the mega nobs?

Is the big Mek an IC and attached to the squad ? If so, then you dont have a unit of 1.

Yes the big mek is an IC and has joined the squad. So yr sayin that he can slink away behind the mega nobs? The wordin that im talkin about is on page 64 on refusin a challange?

I dont have the ork codex handy, but if he challenges your squad, you can refuse with a character. That character then cannot participate in the first round of combat. So you can sit your Big Mek out the first round.
If you Big Mek is all alone, then you cannot refuse a challenge if someone challenges you.

Lol thats what the argument is all about as he is in a squad of mega nobs that arnt charaters. I refused the challenge but then as i re read it it seems that he cant as he is the only character hence havin to attack the blood thirster. I dont mind either way but sort of need to clarify if he can slink away and the mega nobs cope it sweet or if he has to accept and die lol

You do not have a unit of 1. You can refuse the challenge. An independent character is not his own unit if he is attached to a squad.

The rule does *not* say a unit with only 1 character; but a unit *of* only 1 character.
IOW, a unit with only 1 model, and that model is a character.

No, Meganobs are not characters P.413 lists them as Infantry.
